Suggestion: Skill and Ability Skins

I feel this could be a huge cash shop opportunity--offer different skins for abilities/skills.

I was playing another MMO which shall remain nameless, and I happened upon a quest which offered an equippable ability (not unlike a role action skill or soulstone in FFXIV). This ability would change the visual effect of fire-related skills to make the fire green (this made sense given the lore of the game). That's it--no gameplay changes, balance issues, etc. It is basically glam for your abilities.

Here are a couple of major options I would pay money for in a cash shop:

• Offer a water ability skin to place over stone for white mage; white mage theoretically has access to water/stone/wind abilities, but the DPS rotation involves casting stone over and over and over...I'd happily walk around casting a cool-looking Water IV instead of Stone IV
• Offer the ability to switch ice and fire abilities for black mage (an "Umbral" black mage, so to speak...basically swap fire and ice skills in the rotation so ice deals damage and drains MP while fire deals less damage and regens MP, make bliz 2 ranged AoE and fire 2 point-blank AoE, etc.)

The idea here is the skills work mechanically the same, but are only changed in appearance. They therefore do not affect game balance at all, and function as an extension of the glamour system. People want to stand out, and this would add some really cool variety and customization to the experience.

What are some skills or abilities you would like to see have other visual effect options? Maybe a red or black Dark Arts animation? Blue flamethrower for Machinist?

TL;DR
Create glamours for our abilities and charge us ludicrous sums of money for them. Shut up and take my money!
