Why are arcanists left handed?

All of our characters are right handed. From the way we hold our weapons, to emotes, to gestures in cutscenes, etc, everything is done right handed.

EXCEPT, arcanists hold books in their right hands while writing and gesturing with their left. The exact opposite of what you'd expect. What's up with that?

Edit: Actually, /tomestone does that too. Huh.

It's because the book is considered a weapon, so like any other weapon it's held in the right hand.

Bows and spears are held in the left hand, with the right used for control like you'd expect from a right handed person, so why not books too?

Actually, on occasion, Dragoons hold their spear with their left hand, too

Dragoon and Weaver is also left-handed, and I'm actually happy since I feel represented...

Why can't we not worry about that and just ask for left-handed holding?

Wouldn't that be easier? Because that seems like it would be simple.

They are left handed because a programmer made them this way. No other reason.
