Can we get an option to scale down DRG weapons appearance?

I can't be the only one that thinks some if not most of the DRG weapons are disproportionately large compared to the character model. They seem to be about 2-3 feet larger than they should be and it looks ridiculous to run around with them when sheathed. The option is there to turn the weapons off entirely, but I would still like to see them while running around when you take glamours into consideration.

I'd like an option similar to the Bahamut size thing, let us reduce it by 50% or more.

Here is a comparison I would like to make between the look of carrying a lance in FFXI and one in FFXIV:

The scale is way better and it doesn't look insane while you run around with it.

    But, mah gigantic pole-dancing technique...!

Jokes aside, I doubt SE would be willing to work on coding that when it comes to scaling sizes for weapons. Either it's too much time/work for their staff to work on it properly, they don't have the resources, laziness, or all three or a combination of the three.

Honestly so could some of ninjas.

Some ninja blades are freaking massive. More like a 2 handed great sword than a dagger or sai

My Bard is six feet tall, and her bows have tended to be longer than that. One that she had in her 20s must've been eight feet long. I think oversize weapons is just an aesthetic they went with for this game.

Spears, lances, and polearms are supposed to be long. The various LNC/DRG weapons are about right in size. Certainly not too long compared to what they should be.

This. The main thing about a Dragoon is to have the reach-advantage over other melee-fighters. If the weapon isn't clearly longer than a greatsword, there is no use in it. Usually polearms are up to 11 feet long.

Same for the bows. Some of the english longbows used in the middle ages were nearly 7 feet long. So this is actually quit realistic and not oversized.

Actually, you don't. Well, sometimes, maybe. But you start as a lancer and - while some are - most of the other DRG-weapons in the game are clearly not spears. It's even stating on the official job-description that you are a lance-wielding knight.

But spears ain't much shorter anyway.

A lance is actually a type of spear, as is the pike - which was typically around 15 feet long.
That we use lances is a bit odd, since it is a type of spear designed for use from the horseback.

Well, that's true, but medieval English archers didn't have to run around in dungeons and other tight spaces, engaging enemies at close range, constantly shifting position. And I'm telling you, that one bow was like eight feet long, well over "nearly seven feet".

So, bows in this game are oversized.

I don't have a problem with this; things do tend to be a little over-the-top visually in Final Fantasy games. This has been obvious since FF7 introduced 3D models and you could really see the size of Cloud's sword in a realistic-looking environment. This, really, is the point I was trying to make.

Edit: And weapons can be glamoured, can't they? If the size of your weapon bothers you, why not use a smaller weapon for a glamour?
