    companions

    I think that they could make your retainers into companions like with your Chocobo

    u could pay then a venture coin and they join u for a half hour like with your Chocobo

    Apparently we're getting FFXI's Trust NPC system so that would the next best thing (where you summon a similacrum of a story NPC to fight alongside you).

    Otherwise, I'd love to see FFXIV 1.0's Path Companions return, but I think that's now a lost cause at this stage sadly...

    I love the idea, I would like to fight with my favorite retainers.
    But we should beg Yoshi-P very hard, although I doubt that this is enough. :P
