Is their an early access to BLU I don't know about?

With the amount of threads complaining ad nauseam about the gameplay and concept of BLU, I coulda sworn that players had already leveled theirs to 50, learned all 49 skills, and cleared the arena multiple times.

Where is this early access code to BLU? Can I have it too? I wanna rant about how much it fails but haven't had hands on yet.

The Blue Mage is being added in patch 4.5 for everyone who owns the game.

The drawback is that the job is designed for solo play and can't be used in any duty finder or end game content.

That's the short version.

Edit: I wrote this because I skimmed your post before heading out the door to run an errand, and assumed that you simply hadn't heard, rather than you don't understand that people dislike the entire concept of a soloist-only job that's locked out of doing relevant content with other jobs.

No one is complaining about the carnivale itself or the unique blue mage leveling system. Though I personally wish the carnivale was designed for more than just one job.

To clarify, there have been little to no complaints about the gameplay or the concept of Blue Mage. I haven't seen any complaints about how BLU starts at level 1, how it has to learn spells from fighting monsters, how it can set spells from a broad selection, or that the Masked Carnivale is content exclusive to Blue Mage.

What people have an issue with is that Blue Mage is being limited from participating in content. People don't have an issue with Blue Mage. Rather, the issue is with the restrictive nature of Limited Jobs.

I rather them of not made BLU at all and focus on something else.
They did state it wouldn't work in party play 4 years ago.
But I mean...it's counterproductive to limit them to solo play in a MMO.
Unless they really have some great plans with BLU like getting certain items/glamour or whatever
using BLU skills then it's a rip sadly.

With all that said, it's nice that they DID try to make BLU in-game.
It was one of the most wanted Job that the community asked for.
You can't really knock them for trying to make fans happy but still...

We have to remember that even though this is an MMO, some players do enjoy doing solo activities on occasion. Now I don't expect BLU to always stay limited to solo content in the future, but for the moment it is something different and I'd take it over more Eureka stuff any day. 4.5 is just the stepping stone, let's look ahead to see what BLU and the new jobs are/can do come the next expac because things could change drastically in Summer 2019.

Ironically, it might end up that BLU is even more dependent on socializing than other jobs. Unless they are legitimately so broken that they can farm primals and dungeons at level 50 by themselves.

If they can't, that means the BLU will be required to ask others for help to learn their abilities, since they are unable to simply queue for that content and farm it in a regular group.
