I don't want to lose anyone from my static either.

I'll accept the fact that I might have to replace people in the future, but ideally it should be when a new raid tier starts, not in the middle of an existing one...thats my compromise if you can call it that.

I really hate the position Sqaure has put me in with this crap, just give me the damn stability issues I will tough it out just to stay in touch with people from Balmung.

It was bound to happen if we wanted better servers. Aether and Primal were unstable.

Then do it right before 5.0, not in the middle of a raid tier.

If I remember correctly the new data centers aren't going active until we near the release of shadowbringers, it won't be happening at 4.5

Not possible. Or rather, the only way it would be possible was if they managed to get a data center that was significantly larger and more powerful than what they have. But that's not very feasible. That would take years and by then the current ones could very well be fried. Not to mention the immense costs. Doubling the size of a datacenter costs more than doing two separate ones each worth half due to the fact that all the physical servers (and one server can be several, dozens or even hundredths of computers) need to be connected with each other properly. Something that takes time, high quality parts, a lot of logistics etc. The more stuff you need to connect together the more it costs. Just look at the hardware prices. You get a lot for every buck you pay between low and mid class hardware, but when you reach the high tier, the more you pay the less you get for your buck instead.

And they cannot just make empty data centers while the old ones would burn either.

This is something I agree with though. It is close enough to the next expansion that they could try pushing it further. Unless there will be an immediate and significant benefit to this move, there is no reason not to.
