Honest to Venat serious question out of pure curiosity. Are bunny bois the New Gay? In the past, many gay men played He-Roes due to the Bear aesthetic and Miqo for the Twink look; I get the appeal if that's something that appeals to you, no harm-no foul. Lately I'm seeing a lot of androgynously (is that a word?) dressed bunny bois or straight-up (no irony intended) guys in dresses etc. Given how absolutely beautiful the facial features of bunny bois are, I figured it was inevitable for this to happen. My main curiosity is how many of these guys are gay men, BL/Otome fans, or straight folks dressing their man bun up in cute outfits?

Honestly, why would you care about trivial matters as those? If you like how they look play them, if not then don't. Viera is not the "new gay" there is no such thing, gay/bi men/women/trans/diverse may like them or not, it's all a matter of preference some like burly and hairy some prefer timid and/or androgynous, handsome.

I like to play a handsome character that represents my own gender, if I feel like it I play female too. That being said my wife is not a fan of me playing female. Burly is not my style so I settle with handsome and viera hits the mark.

Don't equate character in game to gender/sexuality irl. It doesn't work like this.

Also, I changed to a Rava with face 3 and I freakin LOVE himbs. I loved my veena, but ugh rava face 3 has me ; ___ ;

Who better to get an answer from than the people themselves?

I think the answer to your original question is that it doesn't matter and it's none of your business. This is the same as asking a gay couple which one is the "woman". It's not like that - you're making an assumption, and on top of that - it's none of your business. That sounds harsh, but it's honest.

This is just such a weird and hilarious question.

They have softer, more effeminate features. People who like that are going to be drawn in, of course. Then you've got people like me, who try to defeminize the faces. My point being, it takes all kinds. Some people are after different things when picking a player race. Me? I liked their lore a lot more than the miqo'te lore. I also like how i looked in cutscenes a lot better than i did as a miqo'te. I was determined to tailor their appearance to my preference.

While i am gay, i didn't choose to play one because of that. When i make a character it's an insert of how i would want to look in this universe.

Look, some people are unnecessarily vague towards you so screw it I will answer. Just to clarify to people that I am a gay dude who doesn't have time to tip toe around a question.

Yes, it appears they are the new 'gay' race, the majority (not ALL) of Male Viera's I have seen tend to be wearing camp clothes for eg: maid dresses and their physical appearance is incredibly effeminate. It's probably the new race that quite a few people of the LGBTQ+ community are gravitating towards because let's face it, male Viera's are definitely more attractive and more 'twinky' as you put it than the Miqo'te.
