New shots, dabbled with the gpose a bit more today.. Tank set, with this top. Steampunk style. Taken in a steampunk setting.

First one perfect shot. In love with this shot, everything is just so right!

I love the glamour, the new sets look great on Viera. And you do a good job with the poses.

If you don't mind, I just want to share some general advices to improve on screenshots (I am not an expert but know a thing or two):

- Definitely try different angles. Full body poses are good, especially to show off glamour, but also try close-ups and from behind. It gives the feel of a professional fotoshoot session (at least imo) and makes the pictures look more alive and not static.




- Try combining poses with emotions to overwrite the pose's actual emotion. This needs some experimenting, but comes off with interesting results. On many races my favorite is probably /sulk and /simper.




- As for your issue with colors, not sure if you considered it, but I often edit my screenshots in a program after (just a simple one is plenty enough). There you can adjust colors for examples, like reducing the red hue, to make pictures look warmer or colder or to just clean them up.




- And working with the other functions of /gpose also improves quality a lot. Like I took my sweet time to try out the lights but it really helps, especially in dark places, to keep your character in the focus and not let it drown in the background.

Yeah, I want to get more closeups, but I mainly post due to my glamours, so I feel like I am leaving something out if I cut out the glamours. Also, I don't like cutting off myviera's ears, and I have my viera's ears kind of long.

I dabbled with image editing like idk 10+ years ago. I was a teen at the time, and it's been... awhile. I do have GIMP 2 on my PC right now though. I really should start practicing again. The games lighting for sure leaves things to be desired, a lot of the time more red lighting is exactly what is needed, but it makes the image too red, and my viera actually has pink hair, so it really shows!

Haha, I know what you mean. I had my Viera's ears on shortest and it was still difficult to find angles where they either fit in or a good cut off where it still looked good.

I personally use PhotoFiltre 7, it's free and has enough options for photo editing. Since I also use GShade I don't need to edit too much anyway, just colors, brightness or contrast as I see fit.

This is excellent advice, Allae!

If I may chime in, combining /no with any of the happy face expressions gives the photographer (screenshooter?) a confident character shot. Another fun pose is to summon your mount before you go into /gpose. You look like you are whistling!

You can also try changing where the character is looking by moving the camera and hitting the spacebar. Everyone loves a look over your shoulder shot!

Feel free to experiment. /Gpose is getting more flexible with every update! You can even remove distractions and focus just on your character.

I finally really like reading Churro's posts, because we show the exact same attitude towards glamour I can buy a mogstation outfit just for a pair of shoes / gloves too >.< (and I like to show my entire glam on my screens )

Also thanks for your compliments! It means a lot that people like my screenshots because gpose is one of the many things I enjoy in FF14. Am glad they are improving the feature more and more, and add even more functions to it.

Thanks! That's fun to hear! I can be really picky about my glamours. A little too picky at times. I don't even continue to wear a lot of the glamours I show off either, I just make them to make them... buuut they've gotta be perfect!
