However, I believe there are achievements (possibly just lodestone achievements?) for completing these quests. Even though there are plenty of achievements that are permanently missable, the quests that you could have done for the other two nations seem... notably uninteresting... to be missable just because you were more concerned with getting your chocobo in a hurry.

That said, not that many people actually care about achievements. >.>;

I think there it would be more of an uproar if they were under the achievements tab in-game.

Some of the lodestone achievements are only too easy miss.

Others require you to compete with your entire server, and for a large majority of people (esp casual players), this is not appealing.

I don't think it's a big deal to be honest--really, the only time I've ever seen lodestone achievements come into play was for stalking people or catching them in a lie about them being R50 for a year. >.>; The only reason I even posted was because everyone is in the "MUST. GET. CHOCOBO." mindset when they're doing these missions, and don't even realize they could be missing something.

Imperial Devices isn't a big deal. Missable is fine, because there's really no excuse not to do it. Likewise, I believe that the three unique missions would be awkward story-wise if you'd already joined a different company; even then, there's no reason you couldn't do them.

However, to do all three Into the Dark missions, you would have to wait to get your choco (and GC membership) until you were 45+. Now that Goobbues exist it's not as big a deal, but... Y'know.

If any change were to occur I'd simply ask that the NPCs tell us sooner that if we join another company, these missions will be forever locked. If I'd known from the first time they were available, I'm sure I could have managed; but after I was close to my choco, I wouldn't stop for anything.
