Dear SE.....

I am sad that i missed 2 quests, i for each of the grand companies from uldah & limsa because i was in such a rush to join The Order of the Twin Adder. The quest npc's basically tell me to gtfo cause i am not a member of their company even though i have done all their other quests. lol. If there are no plans to allow us to change GC later can you unlock these so i can get credit?

Also.... if there are no plans to be able to change GC, can we trade our leftover seals to our chosen GC?

The whole point of the grand company is to pick and choose.

The quests before choosing which grand company are nothing special.

It only gets notably interesting AFTER you choose.

As for leftover seals, while i agree it would be nice to have them transferable to your chosen Grand Company (Given how hard the seals are to farm atm), I wouldn't wait around for it.

However, I believe there are achievements (possibly just lodestone achievements?) for completing these quests. Even though there are plenty of achievements that are permanently missable, the quests that you could have done for the other two nations seem... notably uninteresting... to be missable just because you were more concerned with getting your chocobo in a hurry.

That said, not that many people actually care about achievements. >.>;

**These can by permanently missed depending on which Grand Company you join, and when you join it. All 3 Imperial Devices, all 3 Into the Dark, Ceruleum Shock, Appetite for Destruction, and Know Your Enemy may be completed if done before enlisting with a Grand Company. After enlisting, you may only do the quests corresponding to your enlisted Grand Company.

I think there it would be more of an uproar if they were under the achievements tab in-game.

Some of the lodestone achievements are only too easy miss.

Others require you to compete with your entire server, and for a large majority of people (esp casual players), this is not appealing.

I don't think it's a big deal to be honest--really, the only time I've ever seen lodestone achievements come into play was for stalking people or catching them in a lie about them being R50 for a year. >.>; The only reason I even posted was because everyone is in the "MUST. GET. CHOCOBO." mindset when they're doing these missions, and don't even realize they could be missing something.

Imperial Devices isn't a big deal. Missable is fine, because there's really no excuse not to do it. Likewise, I believe that the three unique missions would be awkward story-wise if you'd already joined a different company; even then, there's no reason you couldn't do them.

However, to do all three Into the Dark missions, you would have to wait to get your choco (and GC membership) until you were 45+. Now that Goobbues exist it's not as big a deal, but... Y'know.

If any change were to occur I'd simply ask that the NPCs tell us sooner that if we join another company, these missions will be forever locked. If I'd known from the first time they were available, I'm sure I could have managed; but after I was close to my choco, I wouldn't stop for anything.

If you cared so much about achievements, you should have made that a priority instead of your chocobo. Those quests only matter for your lodestone history, and your in-game quest log I guess, you don't "miss" anything by not doing them outside of some plot (which you can look up) and appeasing the OCD gods.

Yeah, I really hate not being able to complete these. My linkshell forced me into getting my chocobo fist thing and I didnt get a chance to get these quests done.
