New Job Shown Shadowbringers Teaser

For any who watched the opening keynote for fanfest you would obviously know that they only confirmed the limited job of Blue Mage. Yoshida did in fact make mention of another being hidden somewhere in the teaser.

Just wanted to make sure those who haven't caught it, see it. The bit where Thancred is running with what looks like a lalafell through a temple is what I am thinking. He very clearly has a gunblade on his back. Obviously not thancred's class.. Looks like the gunblade is confirmed. Will it be a tank though, that is obviously unclear.

Thoughts and opinions?

I hope it's a Tank. We really need more tanks and heals all around.
It really won't be fair if BLU is around the corner as a DPS, and then you add yet ANOTHER DPS in 5.0
and then had RDM and SAM in SB.
3 DPS in SB.
1 DPS in SBR.
Come on man, gimme some healers!

I am 100% with you, at least the blue mage, to the disappointment of many, will not have to be competed with in ques and such with endgame content.

Looks like a little girl to me. I'm thinking it might be the reincarnation of Minfilia, or perhaps someone of royal lineage. Either way, they were being led by the hand, and obviously needed protection.

At first I thought watching it that Thancred had similar type medium clothing on, but after watching a few times it looks like some fending type gauntlets perhaps. That would be crazy if the case, it does look like a little girl.

Wellllll... they did say that Blue Mage is not a Shadowbringers job. And there are multiple new jobs for Shadowbringers. So possibly Gunblade, a healer and ????

I'd say that it confirms it. What we got was a teaser, so maybe they'll show it off a bit more in the full trailer. I hope it's a dps, but if it's a tank that's not a deal breaker for me. I just want my gunblade.

I agree, I will take gunblade in whatever iteration, I prefer tank myself.

To be fair, this was also sort of their "default" class for any non-original 2.0 classes. When I go through the post-Ultima cutscenes (where you go back into the Aether to "forge thee... a blade of light") and I'm on AST, SAM, RDM, DRK, etc, I just pull out a PLD sword and shield. I'm not sure this is "canon" Thancred, I think this was "Thancred was a NIN but we didn't have that coded in yet."
