Or just... not let players learn that one.
Do people really think Blue Mage learned every single skill from every single enemy in every single Final Fantasy game?
Black Mage got on fine for 5 years without the Death spell, and that is a FAR more iconic spell for BLM than for BLU. Hell, you can't cast Raise on undead bosses like Phantom Train, and THAT is a more iconic moment for FF fans than ANY of the death spells Blue Mage has access to. That excuse was ridiculous. The excuse about booting them if they didn't have their full toolkit was worse.
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!
Hold up now, lemme understand.
You cannot play BLU in DF, yeah?
Then how come the trailer showed him with Shiva?
And why the hell is is limited to level 50?
They should of never made this job if they honestly had this hard
of a time making it. No one wants to farm FATE for years as a BLU
because that's all they'll be used for...What a shame.
Well, at least you got BLU people, just not the way you wanted I guess...
Oh boy so yeah I didn't take into consideration that you can premade a group that I forgot to add and overlooked it my bad however, what if the person is brand new and chose BLU as their leveling class since Yoshi P said you can play it with just ARR but the person has no friends. That means the person can't play the way they want to by grouping with people and letting the game naturally take their course so they get a feel of the class in a group setting since the player won't know about PF or anything unless they researched the class. Not to mention the trust system all the way through leveling, again is not in a player party it's NPCs and yourself with 0 player interaction, I have no issue with solo play at all I really don't but when you don't actively seek interaction and don't have premades then how are you supposed to get dungeons done? That's an issue.
Another issue is how BLU levels it's open world grinding mobs and FATEs which is nothing unique since many people are doing Eureka grinding artificial EXP for their Elvl for relics and such so already this is nothing new and innovating it just creates more emphasis on the Trust system which is more grinding and hand holding which we have enough in this game. If a player levels like that the whole way, then finally gets to endgame as a BLU then the endgame content for them they can't do since they're regulated to just BLU trials and premades with friends or FC mates if they have them which doesn't fly the player didn't need to do that until now so it's a huge slap in the face.
^ this is another great point here who beat me to the punch what if I want to play BLU? I can't. I don't have that choice I have to play other classes because BLU isn't available at this time to go through the MSQ so even if the player does level BLU you can't do the newest things thus making you level an alt or another class that you don't enjoy who has a different playstyle. It's bad design you should be able to play as any class as you want despite the content it shouldn't be a "limited job" they said BLU is OP but why make something so OP that you refuse to balance around current content? They can scale the abilities around the class instead of making it this Godlike class that can do anything but nothing at the same time.
This may be an experiment but already I'm dreading it giving players the lack of direction only to sidewind them at the end saying "you can't play the newest content please play another class" is so bad it's like if I played a Death Knight in WoW and all I could do was level with my undead NPCs and only kill mobs it's terrible. SE keeps putting more and more limitations on their game and it's going in a bad direction where that freedom of choice for players is taken from them when they have a carrot on the stick which is BLU only to be told they can't play with non-limited classes.
Edited as you posted that since you can't start off as BLU.

You don't play ANYTHING in Duty Finder. You find party through Duty Finder. Duty Finder IS NOT CONTENT. It's an algorithm for matchmaking.
You can play Shiva through pre-made parties and I assume that Solo through Undersized Party option is possible as well.
Because that's how much they managed to do up till now. They have resource and time constraints. If they'd try to push it further then everything else would suffer. In those 50 levels it's got more stuff to design and program than a normal lvl70 does.
They'll be used for dungeons and trials too though...Also, not farm FATE's but normal mobs. And I will actually want to do that. If they will increase the experience to a reasonable level of course, something comparable to what it is in like-leveled dungeons. I do come from old-fashioned RPG's after all and I missed the fast-dying overworld enemies grind. No, Eureka doesn't count. The mobs there are not "overworld enemies", they are "dungeon enemies". But they give "overworld enemies" experience. In the time you kill one, you should have been able to kill four or five.
You need to finish the entire story from A Realm Reborn. It cannot be taken as your starting class.
Please realize what you are saying here. You are complaining that you can't take Blue Mage and play the content. And there are others that do that. And...these people are saying that Blue Mage shouldn't have been implemented at all.
So you are saying that you prefer to be forced into another class for ALL content, instead of SOME content. That's illogical no matter how I look at it. I prefer to play what I like in some stuff than no stuff. I don't know, maybe I'm just the weird sort that prefers to be half-sated than starving, even though I'd prefer to be sated fully?!

Exactly my point, you have to level another job in order to enjoy BLU only to be told you can't do what your other job was doing to level or do roulettes while you level and when you do get to max level and try doing normal raids and dailies and what not you have to find a premade and you can't do the new stuff. Like I said it goes against how XIV is played and most people don't touch DF while they level unless they have friends for a quick unsync option what if you level BLU after you unlock it only to get big road bumps you'd never get while leveling any other class and then get to max level? It's not designed properly maybe later in 5.X it will be but right now it looks bad.

Here is a question I have: What do we get for participating in the Masked Carnival? Are there actual rewards that will be relevant? Or at least worthwhile (like glamour people would want)?
You need to already have a Lv50 battle job, and finished 2.0. Sure, they are not heavy requirements, but it means that you can't choose BLU as a starting job like you suggested. You just got told to get your facts straight, but you still missed something...
Besides, why are you dismissing PF so fast, as if "new players" don't know about it? That doesn't make sense.
Also, you use the argument of players not being able to go into endgame content because they'd have leveled up through open world content... but that's ignoring the fact that you can very much to dungeons with other people (just not in random grouping through DF). Besides, what do you mean "end game content" when the job is capped at 50?
You are also very much assuming that BLU won't be introduced to players as a very special job, with its own specific content and mechanics. Like that job will be shown as any other just to trick new players into thinking that this is how the game is played. Why are you assuming that? The game already has a sh*tload of tutorials and information bubbles dedicated into explaining side-content to players. There's no reason to think that BLU won't be disclosed as such.
It's like saying that Squadrons tricks new players into seeing a wrong aspect of the game. That's completly missing the point and what actually happens ingame.
