The Carnivale system is not in the game already, not sure where you think you're seeing it.
Sucks you're not getting to play a "Blue Mage" that's really just a regular caster with spells named after beast spells in your precious raids. Truly, we are living in the darkest timeline.
Stop being so narrow minded about how a class can be added to the game. Less stressful that way.
Yes, we definitely want to play a job from 1 to 50 for a minigame. The Carnivale system is not in the game already, not sure where you think you're seeing it.

If it's fun with solid rewards, and keeps getting updated?
Sure.
Sorry you won't get to play your Black Mage with different spell names in raids, but there's nothing wrong with experimenting with implementing classes like this. Lighten up, chief.
Have you forgotten this is an MMO? People wanted to play BLU with their friends and do endgame content but they're limited the devs are literally saying "this is how you're playing the game our way!" not to mention leveling is grinding more mobs and FATEs might as well just sit in Eureka oh wait you can't since it's Elvl-oops. My friend really wanted BLU same as everyone else only to be told here's BLU however you can't do anything, you're incapable of doing anything in a group, you're a solo class and gimmicky with RNG is that good design? It's not.The Carnivale system is not in the game already, not sure where you think you're seeing it.

People aren't being narrow minded they're voicing their complaints and how disappointed they are and don't agree while you're saying "well that sucks for you" it does, this Fanfest was pretty underwhelming and that doesn't bode well for the expansion if this is a large chunk of the rest of the rock that we're getting.

People sometimes want to play in MMO's solo...Oh, the horror! And before you respond to "Then it's the wrong game for you." should we vote for the removal of all "campaigns" in strategy games, fighting games or racing games? Maybe remove the career from FIFA. These games are designed for playing with other people. But since not everyone wants (or can) play with others, they have their single-player modes intact since the beginning.
Clearly you didn't watch the live letter...or you didn't pay attention.
You can do almost all the content that any other job can, in party or solo. The only ones you CANNOT do are PvP and Deep Dungeon.
Roulettes are not content, they are matchmaking method. Duty finder is not content, it's matchmaking method. As a Blue Mage you cannot use matchmaking methods, you need to make a party the old-fashioned way. That's all. You can do all the content in much the same way, just with people that are your friends. If anything, this SUPPORTS the MMO concept of being outgoing and making friends. Because, unlike in Duty Finder, you actually CHOOSE the people you play with.
So get your facts straight before complaining.
That being said, I would wish for it to be possible to use these matchmaking methods as well. However! That is not necessarily impossible going forward. It is possible that they will work on it, find the skills that do not break the game, compile them as sort of "level progression", present it to the player and say "At your level, if you have these skills, you can queue in a duty finder. Your actions will be switched to these skills without giving you the option to customize.". It is still possible going forward.
It is an experiment. One that does have a rough start, but that does have potential. The fact that you can take those overpowered skills into party content with an actual party shows that they are willing to build upon it which is more than people had thought.

Well tbf, you won't be able to play Shadowbringers with BLU... :/You can do almost all the content that any other job can, in party or solo. The only ones you CANNOT do are PvP and Deep Dungeon.

Story is content as well. You will be able to play it, just not at release. Delayed is different from not being able to play it.
You can say that means you'll never play it because by the time the cap will be raised you will long since finish it.
1) You don't know that. We don't know the rate at which its cap will increase.
2) The New Game+ will most likely allow you to do it with Blue Mage.
3) Alts can still do it at that point.
Yes, it sucks that you can't bring it into the NEWEST content...but let's be real. Between not having it at all and having it delayed, I prefer having it delayed, personally. I'll have plenty enough classes to choose from to take into the main story quest. This game is all about the freedom to become what you want. Trying to limit oneself to one, specific class is against the spirit of this game and I was actually pissed at Yoshida neutering that. I WANTED classes to be ineffective in certain content. Like Black Mages being ineffective in content that had heavy resistances to fire and ice, for example. This is just another version of that. Impossible to play the current content but trampling the older content.

It sounds like BLU will only have it's level cap increased in 5-10 level increments (twice an expansion life cycle if 5 increments or once for 10) and permanently stay at least 5-10 levels behind normal jobs. This is to prevent premades from bringing OP BLUs into current extreme, savage content. So we will probably see BLU kept at 60-65 until Shadowbringers is released, in which the level cap will be increased to 70. Then in let's say in patch 5.25, BLU will be increased to 75. Just a theory.
