would like to know if its possible to reward players who have been subbing for a long time with something like a free week applied to their account or some special minion or even just a special consumable item. theres always free login for players that stopped playing or like the mount you all had that was for players subbing 3 months after the announcement of the mount rather than just rewarding players who have been with the game for over a year. it would be something that would make us feel like it was worth staying and would keep us staying rather than only catering to players who gave up the game with free logins.

They do. They have login campaigns, limited time events, playing a game you enjoy.

A free week is nothing.

If you need a "free appreciation week" to feel it is worth staying, then the game is likely not for you.

you didnt read the post, because all teh stuff is geared towards new players and returners. if they want to know why players leave is because all the free login in are for people who left because of the very reason of paying for a game and your voice is never heard. if you like paying every month to get nothing thats you but there will be others that would like them to do stuff for vet players not just returners and new players

We had that - it was called "veteran rewards" that you got after a certain time of being subbed. Included stuff like the Behemoth and Ahriman and costumes. The costumes actually stayed on, but instead of needing to sub about 3 or 4 years for the last one (Squall) you get it after 330 days now. Most of the items that you can buy for achievment certifacts now used to be veteran rewards.

As I mentioned, some of them required several years to be obtained though. And people were upset about that, since it meant that they wouldnt get that cool mount or outfit for years - so, they changed that at their request.
They also introduced stuff like the Falcon-mount which required you to have an active sub during a certain time to get it.

For being subbed a year (or rather 330 days) you still get your Squall-outfit. There is your reward - if you actually need a reward to pay for a game... nevertheless those rewards are and were there - they just got nerfed, so no one needs to look at something cool only to find out that they need to keep paying for the game for the next 2 years to get this item.

...its kinda funny to read this from a person who wants a reward after one year - if they'd continued with the old model, I think the next reward would have required 5 years of being subbed - how would you have felt if the cool mount that you're imaging right now would have required you to sub for 4 more years?

It was actually a huge outcry of people who didnt like those rewards going away, but even though I've been subbed since ARR Beta and got all of them right away, I can totally understand that its extremly silly to have to wait and pay for 1030 days (=3 years) just to get Zidanes outfit. They've changed it for the better - they just need to add more achievment-certifact rewards now...
