Finding, making and using Logos

I've been riding the train in Pyros for a bit now, made it to level 47 and have been having a good time. I have not seen may people using logos and I don't really understand how to make them myself. I have some crystals from the Bunny FATES but I didn't want to do anything with them as I heard they are rare and I didn't want to mess them up.

I remember Drake going on and on about making them and my eyes glassed over, eventually I just started nodding like the Warrior of Light that I am.

Are there any guides out there or can anybody offer me some advice on how to use the logograms? I have the Offensive, Curative, Fundamental and Protective crystals only.

Any idea why people are not using them or are they like me, kind of clueless about how they all work?

Did you get them appraised by Drake? You can then use them in the logos manipulator.

Once appraised, how do you combine them into what you need or are they random?

You put them in the Logos Manipulator to create Actions you can actually use. It's possible to put in just 1, 2 or 3 and the results are always fixed so if you know what to make (either you remember a combination or checked online) then that will get you your actions. You'll be able to combine up to 6 later on though trying to mix more than 3 will start to offer a chance of it failing and you'll lose any Logograms you used for the process, but you might also get dual actions so you have to decide if it's worth the risk or not.

I think most of that is correct, anyone else can add to it if anything is missing.

People might not be using them because you lose the ones you've made and assigned once you exit an instance. Now I usually throw something simple on that's easy to replace. However to make some of the fun ones requires logograms that aren't necessarily plentiful. So before you do that, you want to first commit to the instance you've joined and second be engaged in an activity that is going to make use of those actions. I would imagine a lot of people are standing around and doing a fate when it pops. Making fun/rarer actions when that is what you are doing is just wasteful. However in my opinion you should just throw something simple on like a damage of defense buff at least.

As far as the ones you have gathered so far. My advice would be to save all the ones you have to try and unlock all 50 actions at least once to complete your chart.

Later on when you have access to make two at once, you will put one combination on the left side and a second combo on the right side. That will give you two actions at once. They are not always 100% to succeed when making two though.

Good luck getting them. Most is locked behind bunny fates treasure boxes. How bunny fates is have very low chance getting a bunny from them.
