Looks like somebody is going to enjoy the new job! I'm happy for you
Starting at lvl 1 is going to annoy me to no end, but I guess I'll have to endure it 'cause I love BLU.
Plus, you'll have to have pre-made parties for any dungeons you go through/can't use PotD or levelling roulettes. FATE grinding for 50 levels, what fun!
I wanted to save My Response until I was sure of what direction blue mage was taking, but I'm excited for the job because with it comes everything that I felt I needed. I'm sorry that it had to come at the expense of a job some people have been asking for for over 4 years but we are Here now. I see pve areas being populated again by more then just sprouts, your chocobo has a use again, fates, squadrons and more are rejuvenated. Before the duty finder was introduce the is how eorzea was. Now Theres more then running the same content untill your gear is maxed on every class or a new patch arrives. For someone like me who has every job/Class maxed this is what I needed.
A basic job always shared the level of its base class and any experience gained while on a job goes towards leveling the base class. When I said Done Away I meant with the statement that SE Issued saying they will no longer add classes to 14 and are slowly breaking down its features like guilds, level requirements and cross role skills
Jobs are not at all unplayable at low levels. Maybe compared to 70, it seem that way, but there is a lot more to focus on besides just rotation. Just because the abilities are simplified, that doesn't simplify the entire combat experience. There's also positioning, focusing more on timing how to use the skills you do have, party coordination, etc. It's still simpler, but simple gameplay just encourages complex thought.Because leveling jobs in this game is awful, and it'll only get bearable once we're allowed to keep our learned skills when lvl synced down. Currently, most of the jobs are borderline unplayable when below 70. No one wants to run through Sastasha or Copperbell with literally 4 buttons and zero aoe.
Also, leveling a job isn't "content".
Clearing Brayflox synced with 2 DPS (no Titan or Physick) is incredibly complicated. Simple rotation? Maybe. Timing, positioning, and aggro management to manage damage taken - incredibly complicated.
That's an unusual example, sure, but you can use the same tricks in 8-playwr standard content. Having the simple rotation just lets you work on it in a simpler environment.
I completely agree. I love how FF has changed and all the improvements that have been made but I miss the sense of community and I sometimes wish things can go back to that. (Although Eureka does kind of resemble the sense of community.) But it was amazing running around all over Eorzea doing fates and side quests to level up.
I also love the idea of leveling up from 1 and learning the class slowly but surely but again the game has changed so much that it doesn’t make sense anymore when you have palace of the dead and Squadrons. That being said SE did an amazing job with how they are introducing the Blue Mage. This is going to be amazing.
