Well thought-out, imho! Just need to make the convenient coincidence not stick out like a sore thumb, but with how thin Ishgard was stretched last year and how many attacks they suffered, that shouldn't be very hard! And Thanalan gives you plenty of opportunities for a Miqo'te to fall on hard times.
