I want to think this has already been addressed, but was not able to find any threads or information about it, so I'm posting it here. (also, "known Issues" hasn't been updated since March of last year...)

ISSUE: If you change from a DoH/L class to a DoW/M class, most of the time your cooldown timers will display an incorrect time.

ISP:
Comcast

Type of Internet Connection:
Cable

Internet Connection Speed:
~8 MB

Date & Time:
N/A (most recently, around 9:30/10:00 PM PST)

Frequency:
Anytime class changes from DoH/L to DoM/W
(most recently, from Miner to Conjurer)

Character Name:
Frisque Isamidget

Race:
Lalafell F

World:
Besaid

Class/Level:
N/A
(recent: Miner/38 & Conjurer/50)

Area and Coordinates:
N/A
(Recent: Turning Leaf node)

Party or Solo:
N/A
(recent: was Solo at the time)

NPC Name:
N/A (Self)

Monster Name:
none

In-Game Time:
don't know

Steps:

1) Log into game as a DoL, go about gathering business
2) Change class to DoM (all timers will naturally be on cooldown)
3) wait a minute or two for one of the "short" timers to be off of cooldown (I'm a fan of Blissful Mind for this one)
4) Cast Blissful Mind
5) Skill has a 30 second cooldown, but when timer is off it will display a different value (e.g. 28, 25, 20), and countdown from that value even though the skill itself is still set to 30 seconds
(note: this can also occur if you start as DoM, switch to DoH for a few repairs, then switch back to DoM)

The obvious impact of the timer display not being synchronized with the timer itself is bad game play, because the users cannot properly time their skills.

Right now, the "community hot-fix" to this issue is to /shutdown, then log back in as the class to be played which will naturally reset the timer displays properly.

Again, sorry if this has been brought up once or a billion times before
