Lets talk about Pyros Quest placement (spoilers?)

Ok so this isn't a big "Eureka sucks!" thread. This is an honest question regarding the placement for the story quests in Eureka.

So I reached lvl 50 today and began the lvl 50 quest. and I headed towards the location indicated and I died, proceeded to have my party and shout chat ignore me and let me de-level. I am honestly extremely frustrated to be quite honest. and I will show you why.

You see when Eureka was first launched we were told that we could solo it if we so desired. However this has become less and less the case as time goes on. Especially in the instance of quest locations. They are clearly placed in locations that require the aid of others. I've escorted lower levels to their level quest which was surrounded by throngs of enemies several levels above them. but the executable was always tucked away in a safe place.

But this location is absolutely ridiculous. its literally a narrow hallway surrounded by enemies 5 levels above you that will one shot you if they see you. and the executable is literally within aggro range of said lvl 55 enemy.

It isn't fair to tell players they can play one way and then punish them for playing said way. Almost no one responds to rez call outs. and in some cases a players party will completely ignore them if its inconvenient. Its not fair to place executables for quests in areas where the player is subjected to undue risk of loosing levels or spending hours trying to find a party that is interested in anything other than bunny fates.

I haven't made it to Pyros because I'm still stuck in Pagos, and if it's not because of the BS leveling system there, it's because I'm in a similar situation as you. I learned the soul-crushingly hard way that the level 25 quest point cannot be reached travelling along the Val River Belly (a path that would make the most sense given the reasonable progression of enemy levels relative to your own there) but instead forces you to go all the way around through Brushtip Gap and Agaric Rock - a trek that is made much more painful without the ability to use mounts and the level 30+ mobs with ridiculously long tethers that can take you down faster than the Chaos Data Center.
I have been reluctant to finish that quest for that reason.
What boggles my mind is how SE expects players to do this, let alone solo. I'd really like (and I'm using 'like' very loosely here) to start leveling outside of challenge logs, but it's damn-near impossible to when there's a terrible risk of losing progress and the higher-leveled playerbase is seemingly apathetic.

Don't worry about doing those Pagos quests until you're 35. They don't even give you magicite anymore as an incentive to do them as early as you can; you literally get just rocks. Way to motivate the players, devs.

It's been a problem since Anemos really. Lv13 magicite in the waterfall area crawling with Lv17+ enemies; Lv17 magicite in the northeast caves full of enemies you can never outlevel because they're above your Lv20 cap.

It's dangerous to go alone! Take this.

When I saw they added stealth I thought it would be the most useful action ever... until I learned you can't get it unless you farm heat boxes, which people do at max level after they no longer really need stealth.

Mutated mobs are fantastic for levelling. A party member got 1.8mil Exp when a mob mutated on chain 30 and was 6 levels higher than him. And if you don't want to chain then you can just buy the Tactical Logograms on the MB.

You also unstealth when interacting with the magicite, so it won't protect you from getting ganked regardless.

Still better then how Anemos thought it was a good idea to subject you to a lengthy cutscene while within aggro range of enemies, though. You're invincible until it finishes, but once it does, you'll probably hit the floor.

None on the MB and most people don't chain to level.

What I've been doing is unlock the quest and wait until an NM spawns near there and take the train to the location and get it safely. Same thing with aetherytes. It's worked for me on all 3 locations.
