To add on what has already been said earlier, be aware that one of the Merry-Go-Round explosion patterns can go Counter-Clockwise. Luckily, the first rune color in this pattern is always Black.

"Break a warrior's body, and he will thirst for vengeance. Break his spirit, and he will clamor for peace. Judge my methods distasteful if you will - but know that I seek to end this conflict, not prolong it." - Yadovv Gah, Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn
Others have explained a lot so I'll just give you my own tips/process.
For the record I have 180-200 ping and killed her 110+ times, when i first started I got Suzaku BBQed a fair bit, as a caster I have never ran a circle around her.
Make it simpler on yourself, Eliminate 1 colour. Personally I eliminate Magneta. I never ever stand on it, its of no consequence.
If a colour explodes together twice, (eg. Cyan, Yellow, Yellow, Cyan) Then make that colour (in this case Yellow) your goal, because for the rest of the explosions you will be safe after they explode.
Same if the pattern as the same colour as the first and last explosion, it gives you a lot of time to DPS if you stand on a colour thats only going to explode first and last.
Most importantly TIMING. Listen to the explosions beat, 1,2,3,4. You can run INTO a colour thats about to explode and be perfectly safe inside the fire animation.
Just run in right before it does by knowing it will explode on the same beat every single time. 1,2,3,4. This is the secret to dancing between colours that explode right after one another.
Oh and use Surecast for her draw in/push backs. Use it each time and you will quickly learn that pattern.
