Please Don’t Do An XV Event [Dev Request]

Sounds like the culmination of FFXV's troubled production process. That said, given that we didn't even have a FFXV event on it's release we almost certainly won't be seeing an event in the future as it's missed it's biggest moment so I don't think you had to worry about that in the first place. Declaring people "toxic and blind" won't help whatever point you're trying to make though.

Gotta love how you show up from time to time here on the forums to tell us how much money you spend in games.

I personally would LOVE a Final Fantasy XV event in FXIV. I'd LOVE to get the glams not spending a cent on them. I don't know how it will be, but I'm sure I want FFXV in FFXIV.

I think being associated with FFXV would bring bad luck so I'm not down for an event involving it. Playing that game was a mistake and FFXIV is superior in every way. FFXV committed every possible mistake from delaying the production/release date, constantly having to patch in story that should've been in the main game, releasing spin off mobile apps that no one cared about, all while refusing to give players the desperately needed story fixes and that was asked for. This weekend I'm going to gamestop and trading in my copy of FFXV because there's no way to convince me to keep up with that game anymore.

If you're upset fine, but there is no reason to say others are toxic or blind just because they don't agree with you. Perhaps some people just have bigger things in life to worry about than a game, silly thought I know...

It's also more difficult to compare a subscription and non-sub game on what they do or don't deliver. If a game isn't commercially viable and it has no sub, they get cancelled, discarded, let to die or whatever wording you want to use, that's what happens regularly in the video game industry.

Alternatively you could go find some forums for FFXV and discuss the issue as what happens to that game has absolutely nothing to do with XIV and the property is still SE's anyway so crossovers can happen any time.

They actually announced on the FFXV stream earlier that they are having the event, and we'll be hearing about the FFXIV end of it at the FanFest Live Letter in two weeks. XV will get to fight Garuda.

They need to drum up interest in XV given the latest controversies and potentially recoup some of their losses from future Mogstation sales given how dire some things appear to be. While I don't like XV I have no issue with them adding more glamour to the game. They did it in the past with XIII and that was a far bigger dumpster fire, and in spite of that I still see people running around enjoying the gear we got as a result. The best I can advise you to do is to not participate in the event. Don't talk to the NPC's, don't do the quest that will come, do nothing. Just leave it alone and refuse to be a statistic for them if you truly feel this passionately about it. Because the event is already coming and there's no way SE is going to cancel it given the money they've already sunk.

Or the XV fandom can get one last piece of XV content (besides Episode Ardyn). Because why wouldn't the fans want more content of the game they "fan" about?

XV put too much effort in crossovers, so I don’t want any more of that. Instead of a fishing VR game, Tera crossover, Assasins Creed crossover, and other useless junk such as the avatara system, they should of put that effort in releasing the fixes they promised. I care way more about that than glamour, when we will get new glamours with every patch, and expansion anyway.
