Please Don’t Do An XV Event [Dev Request]

Gotta love how you show up from time to time here on the forums to tell us how much money you spend in games.

I personally would LOVE a Final Fantasy XV event in FXIV. I'd LOVE to get the glams not spending a cent on them. I don't know how it will be, but I'm sure I want FFXV in FFXIV.

The first time I did that was a question about the subscription service, which is now resolved thanks to people’s helpful advice. There’s no need to be rude here.

This time it’s about the fact that I backed the game, and got burned, so therefore I do not want an XV event in XIV. That game is leaning a sour taste in my mouth. No fan would like to be promised fixes to their game, and then denied them. That’s like getting a new expansion announcement, and then finding out it’s canceled several months into the hype.

People are being unnecessary to me here, and I’m going to call it out. I’m not the kind of person to just take it, and ignore it. You can disagree with me all you want, which is fine, but there’s no reason to be mean to me at all.

Over 300$ if you count shipping and taxes +dlc. I know it’s a trend to shame people for spending a lot of money, but for awhile I really believed. Please don’t be mean to me.

If you wanna spend that much on a game just to play it or just for collective purposes, then that's on you. I would never spend that much on a game that would possibly suck, which it did.

Then don't do the event and pretend it doesn't exist. It's what a friend of mine does with Monster Hunter (even if Trial Roulette drops him in Rathalos).

Nothing you say or do is going to stop SE from announcing/releasing this cross over for FFXIV. People complained about FFXIII (some threatening they'd quit), but that event still happened... three times.

as much as i dont really like FF15 and it should have stayed as some side game back when it was annouced as FF versus 13
its already confirmed by Yoshi that we are getting FF15 collab
its really not a big deal

XV is one of my fav even it have some.... bad moment in game but it still good for me

Why should you feel that the rest of the playerbase should suffer and not get content just because you feel stupid for spending an obscene amount of money on something you didn't like?

While you might not want the cross-over and I can see your reasoning behind it, I do have to disagree with it. While I agree it has left a sour taste in people's mouthes, there's a lot of people like me who haven't touched the game. Economically speaking, it's probably better for them to do it.

Also, for those curious this link here talks about it and says one of the things confirmed is the XV/XIV collab event - so yeah, looks like it really is confirmed. Curious to see how they handle it. Will it be as mismanaged as XV supposedly was (sorry Damian, but that joke was too tempting for me to pass up)?

You spent 250$ on FF XV....just wow.

I don't know what prices are like elsewhere, but that (sadly) doesn't sound all that outlandish for a collector's edition.

The last collector's edition I bought was The Last Guardian, which was AU $200 and had things like a nice statue and mini artbook with it.

If you really want the exclusive pretty collector's-edition thing, you don't have much option other than to pay the money for it now, and hope that it retains its value if you have second thoughts later.

I'm also upset that they canceled most of the dlc but I was also really looking forward to the colab and I've been waiting so long for it to happen, if they said they were going to cancel the colab too that would be even worse. Let the people who want to do the event enjoy it while you go pretend it doesn't exist and miss out.
