Please Don’t Do An XV Event [Dev Request]

After spending 250$ on a collectors edition, finding that the games story had gaps, and then being excited that the characters I wanted to see more of would be getting dlc of their own, I am done with Final Fantasy XV in light of the recent news.

Please do NOT put an event based on XV in this game. As a Final Fantasy fan, I am burned by this recent cancelation of dlc, and want no part of XV going forward. Keep it out of XIV, which is a much better Final Fantasy. I just want to move on with the series, and forget about it. It’s been a complete waste of recourses, and money. Spend that time working on a Kingdom Hearts III, or XVI crossover.

It just would feel out of place now. It's been on consuls for a year and the PC port was a while ago as well. (not even a good port at that)

EDIT: Wow.... just learned they are actually doing it. I just hope it's not a mindless FATE grind and the rewards are good.

I don't know what prices are like elsewhere, but that (sadly) doesn't sound all that outlandish for a collector's edition.

The last collector's edition I bought was The Last Guardian, which was AU $200 and had things like a nice statue and mini artbook with it.

If you really want the exclusive pretty collector's-edition thing, you don't have much option other than to pay the money for it now, and hope that it retains its value if you have second thoughts later.

When someone really enjoys something they tend to spend a lot of money on it. Would you go up to Simon Cowell and be all, "You spent $1.5 million on a Bugatti Veyron....just wow."?

You could just ignore the event. People have been wanting an event for forever, and they take time to develop.

This trend of asking the devs not to implement something that "you" personally don't like needs to stop lol.

Well, that's a disappointment; I was looking forward to learning more about Lunafreya and Aranaya. Especially the latter.

Wonder what the Comrades part of XV's going to be like, though. Kind of hoping they update it like crazy and turn it into a new MMO so I can finally explore more of FFXV's world than Eos.

I also wonder why Tabata left so suddenly. I don't really keep up with the going ons of video game companies but I'm honestly kind of shocked and sad that he's left SE...

Back on topic though, I kind of agree and disagree with OP, but more or less agree more with him since that DLC cancellation is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth now the more I think of it. So I'd probably be pretty pissed off, too to gain a cross over even with XV in XIV but still miss vital chunks of the story in the former that I've been waited for years to be filled in.

Hopefully that DLC is somehow completed later on though so we can finally have the full story of that video game. I'm the type of person that hates following incomplete stories. Kingdom Hearts pissed me off for years because they wouldn't send over the Final Mix additions for so long until now. So, as I said before, I hope they can still complete the other DLC somehow so we can finally have the whole story of FFXV.
