I think pyros seems A LOT BETTER than pagos. At least exp is nice and map isn't a holy labyrinth. Tbh, apart from the thing that eureka isn't solo friendly at all if you want glamours, mount, minions etc from it, i learned to enjoy it.

But pagos was hell... I hope they learned from their mistake and pyros rng will be a bit more relaxed on glam items. Bec most of the people i know doing eureka is because of glamour/mount/minion/tt cards etc. Not because of relic..

Guys, I figured it out. Eureka is a trap for RMT bots. That's why everything is market enabled. Because absolutely no one else would set foot in there, so it's a goldmine to people selling gil and therefore a honeypot!

One of the biggest problems is all the people who say they hate Eureka but "only do it for the relic/hair/glamour" then complain non-stop about Eureka.

Don't do Eureka just for some item or hairstyle. That makes you a number on Eureka's Participation records, showing Yoshi that "People are playing this!" Just don't play it at all.

In a way, those who unhappily play Eureka are part of the problem simply because they help bump participation numbers.

Then you need to love yourself more because isn't it better to have what you want be obtainable through means you actually enjoy? This is a game, after all. But every hit in Eureka tells the devs they were right, and they'd continue with this.

Chill dude, I'm not physicaly hurt by playing in Eureka, I'm just not entertained and bored as much as I can be, I expect the game to actualy do better at being fun and said so when he failed at it. I value the carrot on the stick enough to be bored and annoyed while chasing it, its not like they already decided what come around in the next 15 month and my participation in those will change a thing, be realistic.

That feeling when I have a member from my static that actually hurt themselves grinding Pagos to the point they're now stuck raiding with a class they hate because their wrist can't handle the class they like... And they hated every second of Pagos too... all for the relic.

Be careful with how much you value the carrot at the end of the stick.

SE doesn't care about how much you complain if you still eat it. All they want is to bribe you into the content so you can keep doing it while they have no actual plans to fix it. Why should they? You still play it regardless. No need for changes right? Why do you think we stopped getting hairstyles for free for example?

I decided I'd never play Eureka. As much as I'd like to have my BRD relic and collect the hairstyles, mounts, and emotes.

While I don’t need the BRD relic for gear or glamour now, I was determined to complete it for the sake of completion when Anemos came out. And I actually really enjoyed Anemos, despite some mild belly-aching while leveling up during it. But I spent 6 hours in Pagos the day it came out and I hated every second of it, and I decided then that getting my completed relic wasn’t worth me participating in content that I absolutely despised.

I spend time in FFXIV to have fun. Suffering in Pagos for a weapon that was nothing more than glamour wasn’t worth it for me. So I invested my time elsewhere, and now I have an even better bow to glamour. And the same will be said for my AST weapon glamour—because that’s the only weapon I found appealing in Pagos, and its Pyros incarnation is also beautiful. But now, I can get one even better.


Not participating seems to be the only way the developers will acknowledge that Eureka is a mess that most people do not like, because they don’t seem to listen to the constructive feedback given about it—or, if they do, it feels cursory at best. Stepping foot in there tells them that you will do whatever it takes to get a shiny, regardless of how miserable you are. And that’s not the message I want to send video game developers.

People are more than welcome to enjoy the content—but if you don’t enjoy it and go in anyways to chase the shiny carrot? Sorry, I don’t really agree with such a practice.

Yeah right, they totaly won't gate more and more cool thing behind it like they do since years and will totaly rework already done instances.

Diadem died fast, close to no one did it and we still get Eureka, keep on dreaming embargo works on big companies.
