Love the game, hate Eureka. Of course, I also hated Eureka when it was called Final Fantasy XI.

As much as I bitch about how I am not going into Eureka again, I still don't think it's fair to just ask them to stop outright.
Sure a portion hate it, but there are people that are enjoying it. It's just not fair to rip the enjoyment from others just because some want it gone.
Don't go in and do something else if you don't agree with it, but still, let the others have their fun.

While I don't think they should just do away with Eureka as a whole, they really outdid themselves with the amount of new items that they put into that area.As much as I bitch about how I am not going into Eureka again, I still don't think it's fair to just ask them to stop outright.

With the 4.45 patch, Eureka gets 1 of the new minions for sure, 2nd minion is assumed to be from there as well (the Wind-up Elvaan), the new mount , the new furnishings, one of the TT cards (assumed), the new hairstyle and the new emote. That's crazy. @.@ I can't imagine them giving any other specific content that many items at once.
If they had released several new items in each category (minions, mounts, hairstyles, etc), it wouldn't seem so bad, but sadly that's not how SE works.
Also i think this was probably better suited for one of the other threads, but I keep mixing them up. lol.![]()

It's pretty obvious they're just trying to bribe people to do it at this pointWhile I don't think they should just do away with Eureka as a whole, they really outdid themselves with the amount of new items that they put into that area.

agreed , I am one of those who enjoy Eureka and don't feel the need to post on the forums explaining how I love it and hate raiding and that they should stop making raid content , this thread sounds very selfish to me , if you don't like some type of content that doesn't mean that everyone else hates it tooAs much as I bitch about how I am not going into Eureka again, I still don't think it's fair to just ask them to stop outright.

I do agree with how the amount of stuff placed in there this patch is a bit over the top, and it should have been spread out between other content, but it is nice rewards for those that stuck through their grind and continue on their next one, even if the relic is their main reward. Plus, it's not like the forums didn't see this coming if you go through older posts pre-patch.While I don't think they should just do away with Eureka as a whole, they really outdid themselves with the amount of new items that they put into that area.

There will always be rewards locked behind other area's of content other just don't want to do or hate. However, SOME of this stuff can be bought on the MB, even if at crazy prices.
But the rewards are not the focus of the posters original post. He simply wants Eureka gone cause he hates it, and that, in my view, isn't right nor fair regardless on what rewards are obtained.

If you release at level 50, you delevel, and lose 12.6 million XP! Have fun finishing the quest sneaking past lvl 55 mobs! FUN!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN
I feel like they introduced that auto-revive action specifically to try to reduce the risk of exploring without a group...though it only being a chance as opposed to guaranteed is silly.

If SE added a method to do the relic questline without having to go into Eureka I'd be happy and stop complaining about Eureka. I mean that would require serious story gymnastics to accomplish and totally won't happen but all the same, it would make me happy. I've said it elsewhere but if SE decides to lock future relics behind Eureka-style content again I will likely just stop playing FFXIV. Eureka ate up too much of Stormblood's content budget for something that I want no part of and at the same time made the relic questline... which should have been content perfect for me... something I can't engage in because its gated by Eureka. Eureka is awful and as far as I am concerned a terrible waste of development resources. I get that they can't back out of it at this point, but I really hope they decide not to repeat this travesty in any future xpacs.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
