I've done Lamebrix 6 times, Ying Yang 4 times and Skoll twice. One thing I am very happy about is that you can use the market board to get around some really bad luck on the RNG side. Just cant get that one crystal to drop? Well, go buy it, well, buy a few and hope the final RNG lets you have the logos action you need. But still, placing things on the MB does help out a lot. I bought that one crystal that just wouldn't drop for me and I can help my friend with the crystals they need to finish their relic. Being able to help with their relic this way really makes me feel good. Any crystals that they don't need nor I, I sell on the MB for a profit. I am not worrying about saving crystals for the water zone because there probably going to shower us with them when we get there.
My relic is done and I'm still in Pyros having fun, helping a friend and grinding crystals to pay for my raiding supplies. If only I could skip the Pagos relic step for my other weapons.
Have yet to get a single item that increases my Magia board.
I'd love to see the odds of getting said items or if it's like bunnies and only a certain number goes out.
I believe it is one person per fight or something like that, just like Cassie.
Sad things is when you finally get the Yin Yang Tissue and when you log back into the game it disappears from your inventory. Now have to farm continue the farm just to get me a new one.
Tip for anyone doing NM's in Pyros, if Aetolus spawns in thunder or Graffiacane spawns in heatwaves, hit the NM once then immediately stop and cancel level sync. Pull a nearby sprite, dps it down to about 5%, then level sync and finish it off. Repeat for as many sprites as you can fit in the NM window.
You will not reset your contribution, if your group get gold you're good. You'll get 5 mitigative logo's per sprite. On my realm, that's 800k gil per sprite.
The dream ofc, is getting a dead instance so the NM isn't killed off.
Just getting into Pyros after finishing my Pagos weapon I'm not impressed with Pyros. While the dragons are less of a problem and the Aetherites are better for their level spread, the mobs are laid out really annoyingly. Especialy on the bridges. The Logos actions that I've heard Praised are a joke. There so rare in how you get them and you don't need them for the NMs anyway. The best part about Pyros is the exp you get from the NMs. You level pretty fast making some of the mob layouts a lot less annoying.
The Good
XP is significantly better in pyros, although this is right after the Pagos XP buff, so it could just be that same buff
bunny fates give xp
scenery is beautiful
several NM fights are actually interesting (like the tag fight)
mob positions on open squares are close together for easy chaining
logogram system is new and interesting - conceptually very cool
The Bad
still very unfriendly to low level players, map is separated in 2, so you have to walk very far from start to get to high level NMs
mob positions on bridges are frequent and frustrating, making it very difficult to sneak past, especially if the mob moves
bunny drops are required to progress logograms, which is several levels of stacked RNG (chance to get bunny, chance to get right chest, chance to get right drop, chance of right logogram)
having second logogram has a chance to fail - completely unnecessary limitation
requirements of weapon/gear are unusually high, especially considering the gear is still not BiS - includes needing all logograms AND a crazy number of NM crystals
light rerolling is PURE RNG - you could never get what you want, after grinding for ingame years, if unlucky
again, basically ZERO progress on relic at starter level. you need to grind to level THEN grind for relic - not as bad as pagos but clearly lesson NOT learned
PYROS GEAR DOES NOT BUILD OFF OF ANEMOS GEAR, AND DOESN'T HAVE A VENDOR TO OBTAIN IF LOST
Summary: I pray the relic system in Shadowbringers is more similar to HW or even ARR. Please no Eureka/Diadem again.
Not sure what happened, but heatbox groups are terrible lately. You spend half an hour trying to get a group, then everyone sits around asking where to go, then you give them a location and they ignore it and go to a non-weather mutate, then they get about 15 into the chain and run off immediately after a lv40 Fate. Then 2 people leave.
2 hours later, you're sitting there with 0 boxes wondering what happened. They're actually fairly decent for light, not sure why no one does them.
I was able to get some mileage out of logos action, and they feel WAY TOO RESTRICTED EVEN FOR EUREKA, and that's not a good sign... there are some abilities that make ask "why didn't so-and-so job get this ability?" or "how come these 3 aggro management abilities that tanks have don't get 15-30 second buff increases aggro generation and provide some additional effect?" or "why isn't this ability on role action?" or my personal favorite "they're going to be making accuracy checks a thing again aren't they?"
But yeah, it might be better if logograms were the replacement for materia(since materia only gives meh stat boosts at endgame) so that devs can actually put max secondaries and primaries on all accessories, or at least have Logogram slots for gear for even more customization.
Like seriously the system is already in place where you mix and match logograms where you get the result but you could also add the function that you also get whatever combination you used to get the result on top of it, and a lot of logos action are already balanced for all of the classes/roles in mind, though we do need to remove limited uses since that would turn a lot of people who would actually want to get into endgame raiding by just by playing smart while having fun, which WoW apparently forgot was supposed to be a thing(the playing smart while also having fun part)...
Some personal feedback for Pyros so far:
First off, leveling is much faster. It also helps that I got to lvl 38 just from Pagos and finishing that relic step. Bunny fates giving exp is also a good thing, and you can hunt for treasure with a little bit of luck while you wait for things to spawn. All of this is much appreciated.
Second, the map is much, MUCH easier to navigate aside from maybe a couple bottlenecks. Having the aetherytes unlock at earlier levels helps a ton with that, since most NMs can be easily accessible from any of them.
Third, and this is where I start to get slightly negative...finding a group to do anything except when an NM spawns is hell. It takes awhile to find a group to at least do bunny fates, if you're lucky to get a group at all.
Fourth, apparently the big boss NM required to finish our relics is time gated to the extreme, and way too random to boot. It's Pyros, the Heat Wave weather should appear very often to at least counter the randomness of the spawn. Seriously. Especially when "light" farming for random stats is a thing.
The grind itself isn't too bad, but it's made slightly worse than Pagos with all the RNG involved. That's pretty much my thoughts on Pyros so far.

Do people still go into Pagos or even Anemos these days?
I just came back after a month's break and was catching up on 4.35. Juz wondering if lower zones are now dead...
