Aegis boon only gives you HP back from blocking, not raise block rate. Outmaneuver is the skill you're looking for.

When fighting Ifrit, I seemed to get a decent amount of blocks in, so I guess it just has to do with your shield's block rate + Outmaneuver.

I do have a question though, since I never figured out how Spirits Within worked reliably in XI. Does it do more damage with higher HP or lower HP?

Now that I look at the description, you're right. Hmm and here i've always used outmaneuver first then aegis. I guess I never noticed since I always used the two in conjunction.

Never do that! They also cancel each other out. So if anything you want to use aegis, block, use your block-procs and then hit outmaneuver.

Got it. Surprised they actually cancel each other out though...seems kind of counter productive, even if aegis is a forced block. Thanks for the heads up.

Actually it's interesting... The WAR weaponskill consumes "Rampage" if it is active to increase damage... I'll add that to the OP as well as the link to the Dev post that lists all the abilities

@ Op i swear BLM has an Blizzard spell. So fkin glad I'm back my PC had Cancer had to get it cured ; ;

Yea... there is Blizzard but it doesn't combo... Just causes Heavy... and Blizzara causes Blind
