This is what makes me angriest. Because at least the HW relic only locked, you know, the relic behind its grind. Now we have the entire patch locked behind content nobody wants to do because they're throwing a tantrum that their big baby Eureka is a failure.
As much as I want the housing items, I can also live without them just as I'll live without the weapons. No reward is worth suffering through content I don't enjoy when this is just a game.
Probably i400 with one final step to push it to i405 about a bit before 5.0 drops.
That would follow their upgrade values of 15 ilvls with each release: i355 > i370 > i385 > i400
And then the remaining 5 ilvls to make it on par with Savage, as per all previous relics.

I dunno. In Heavensward it felt like even though they had Diadem you could do other stuff. In Stormblood to me it seems that they're betting everything in Eureka and if you don't like it then tough luck.
I'm not touching Eureka with a 10 foot pole. Went into Anemos twice and noped out of there forever. I don't care how much awesome stuff they shove in there.
It's kinda sad to realize I used to look forward to the patch notes.
I'm certainly not doing it, and even more so now that it's clear that they're this annoyed that nobody's doing it. But it doesn't stop me from being angry. I'll fully admit it's a personal anger - if it had been housing items like the crossed spears again I wouldn't care - but the housing odds-and-ends and spice rack are the sorts of things I've been wanting for my house for years.
And yeah. In HW, you could not only do other content, you had to do other content to get your relic. The only non-relic item locked behind the grind was the Anima minion. Here, they're putting every scrap of new content in a patch in a desperate plea for somebody, anybody to please do the content.
So much for this being a game that caters to everybody - if you want to do the glamour or the housing game with the newest stuff, you still have to slog through their Fail zone.
I'm chilling. I don't mind getting these things when they put them in 5.0's PotD/HoH.
Anyone seen yet what drops the new mount? I'm assuming in Pyros somewhere, but so far have not come across anyone that has gotten one.
new mount comes from gold bunny pyros chests. it is tradeable on the market board.
there is also a fire kettle in pyros and you will need to reroll for rngesus stats on your relic.
There are two places you can do a search that will bring up all the "unlock items".
The official Eorzea Database, which has some user-submitted screenshots of characters using it. (The link is directly to the search result.)
Or search Garland Tools for "Modern Aesthetics" (or just "aest" will find them). It doesn't have screenshots but it has the icons that are shown in the hairstyle selection menu, so you can get a rough idea how they'll look on your race/gender.
Yeah... so this eureka thing is just totally defeating the purpose of the relic imo. The relic has always been a 'casual' way to catch up to the raiders and get a decently powerful weapon. Something you could do on your own time, at your own pace, in your own way. But Eureka requires some serious hardcore play. You have to find parties, grind for hours on the same mobs, stuck in a single part of the game all the time. That doesn't sound very appealing to me. I guess I'll go without any relics this time around.
I really really hope they learn from this. After two failed attempts, it should be clear that this type of content just does not work in this game.
