    4.45 patch notes

the patch notes have just given up some information about pyros, the new level cap will be level 50 so 15 more levels to grind. in regards to upgrading our weapon it says we do it by registering logos actions so no more light farming, hooray! though it remains to be seen just how hard it's going to be to get all the logos actions registerd.

Given SE's track record I am 89% certain the new furnishings, headgear, barding, emote(s), hairstyle, etc., are locked behind Pyros. 100% certain the mount is.

Sadly yes, you might be right.

Registering the actions to level the weapon sounds like a combination of organic and targeted work.

We'll see some actions as we level as stuff drops from the mobs that opens them. Then to get the rare ones people will need to form hunt parties to kill the lesser killed stuff to get the pieces for those actions. Toss in some RNG from the combiner and it seems like a process that will be a tiny annoying, but not light grinding level annoying.

I feel like the RNG is not going to be as favorable as it was in Anemos. That was completely fair imo and made grinding through that area a bit more bearable. Still gonna be annoyed going in and not having a mount. Also seeing 70% at the logos melding screen for a Cure L makes me a bit worried but I guess we'll find out soon.

I wonder how many layers of RNG garbage we'll get to trudge through this time.

That's not what is being shown in that image.

A Cure L LOGOGRAM is being used in the Umbral Array and 3 Paralyze L LOGOGRAMs are being used in the Astral Array.

The text associated with the image:
By placing logograms in both the astral and umbral arrays of the logos manipulator, two logos actions can be produced at the same time. These will be kept in the logos actions window and can both be set as duty actions.

However, using four or more logograms will increase the rate of failure, which causes all logograms used to be lost. Therefore, you should weigh the risk against the potential reward before proceeding.

So it's illustrating the success rate go down, but what Logos Action(s) result from that combination of Logograms is not actually revealed to us in the notes.

Research into logos actions is required to augment Eureka weapons.
    ...
Some logos actions can only be produced through specific combinations of logograms.
    ...
However, using four or more logograms will increase the rate of failure, which causes all logograms used to be lost.
    ...

    I have a bad feeling...

The elemental EXP bonus conferred by potions of harmony has been increased.

    Before After
Elemental EXP Bonus: +3% Elemental EXP Bonus: +10%

Each potion sells for 24k in Balmung. That's a lot lol. Time to cash in xD.

Actually... If ya'll missed it they also did a write-up about the Logos system in the Developer's Blog
    https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/blog/002559.html

In there they show images where extracting from a single Paralyze L Logogram has a 100% success Rate and results in the Paralyze L Action.

    Also, in from the notes.

    1) They mention that UNIDENTIFIED Logograms are items that get placed in your character inventory.
    2) Once identified the Logograms are stored in the Logos Manipulator.
The Logos Manipulator window shown in the Notes has the notation "11/28" on it... perhaps inferring that there are only 28 total Logograms and the demo user has 11 of them available.
    3) The Logos Action Log has spots to record 50 different Logos Actions.

So... we can probably assume that at least 28 actions will have have a 100% success rate to extract from a single Logogram extraction.

But as Cidel posted, that also means that 22 actions can only be produced by combining logograms (perhaps specific combinations) and these will not have 100% success rate for extraction.
