Somehow wearing higher level glamour

i saw someone that somehow managed to wear a level 60 healing top before reaching level 60. they took a photo of them wearing it on the 9th of october but didn’t get the achievement for reaching 60 until the 3rd of november. how is this even possible?? it is the makai healing top. i have it on my character but cant wear it because im only level 54.

and they are on ps4, so there was no trainer program or anything like that involved.

The makai stuff can be also bought for mgp at the gold saucer. Unlike the pvp version, those are lvl 1, though they can't be dyed.
Might have been what the person in question was wearing.

makes sense, thankyou! this was confusing me so much oh my god. i checked so many sites and they never mention the mgp versions which is odd.

I dont think the MGP versions count for the event, so that might be why they arent mentioned as much.
