Heck no man. We already have problems with people wearing Ironworks junk in Ala Mhigo.
The iLev requirement is good and necessary for this kind of high end content. What needs to change are the rewards for it to make me want to even bother. In ARR the BCoB raid had bonus story, that in itself was an okay motivator, sure there is the whining "but I wanted to see it but I suck" well, then here is some motivation to get better. There just isnt that motivation to do any better at this game. I can tank a whole dungeon run using only my butchers block combo, sure it might be a bit quicker if I stance-danced and went all out but why even bother? Save an extra 3 min? I could get the whole omega savage gear set for that patch then next patch its only 5 iLev's better than the pleb gear locked behind arbitrary weekly lockouts. Gear stats are not interesting at all, increase your main stat and secondary stat, you done. we need something to lust after, something worth getting, even just a single piece of gear like a ring that reduces the GCD or increases sprint speed.Out of curiosity after a discussion with a friend, if there was no ilvl barring you from entering any current end game content - extreme trial or savage, would you be attempting it more frequently, less frequently or not at all and why?
If the rewards were mounts, titles, minions, gear with different status or tokens you could exchange for other gear of same ilvl would you still try to push such content?
Also make the whole experience more involved, it was bad enough when its "hallway, circle room, boss" but they have even taken the hallways out of the raids now... They can make a halloween and valentines event with unique raids, why does the main and end game still cater to the lowest common denominator?
