More detailed explanations of auto-translate messages?

Hi all, I was wondering if there is any sort of list for the a more detailed meaning of "conversational" auto-translate phrases?

Particularly, on the Japanese server I'm on, the phrase [Let's do it!] seems to be a general greeting. I would have assumed that means "let's go" or "start the battle now" but it doesn't seem to be sending that message to the Japanese players.

So having some source of better context for these sort of messages would be helpful - I want to be aware if things could still be "read differently" to the message I think I'm sending.

For the phrase “Let’s do it!”, I don’t necessarily interpret that as “Let’s go” or “Start the battle now”. I interpret it more as a phrase of encouragement, perhaps even excitement; like people are hyped, and are trying to share that hype to get others hyped. It comes off as the same to me as the phrase “Let’s get ‘em!”, which I basically interpret as more of a hype-phrase rather than “Tt’s time to start—pull the boss now”.

Since you said "Let's do it!" seems to be a general greeting (and I can't really think of a phrase that would be similar in English and being a greeting) it might just be one of those words or phrases in Japanese that doesn't have a literal meaning or has multiple meanings. Some phrases or words really require context for the situation. It would be nice if SE could include the auto translate explanations somewhere as I'm pretty curious about it myself.

Would be good to have an official list of all phrases to at least know what they say in other languages without having to manually change your client's language.

The Japanese phrase could be 「しましょう！」(“Shimashou!”) or「しよう！」(“Shiyou!”), which literally translates as “(Let’s) do it!”. It’s the volitional form of the verb 「する」, which means “to do (something)”. Generally, you use this form to suggest a plan of action to others; the latter form (しよう) is casual and used amongst close friends, with the former (しましょう) being used with those outside of your circle.

This is just an assumption, since I play with my client in English. But now I’m curious enough to change it to Japanese and have a friend auto-translate different phrases to see what they come up as.

I think "Let's do it!" is a translation of "よろしく お願いします！" (Yoroshiku onegaishimasu) and "Nice to meet you" would be "はじめまして" (hajimemashite).

I wish we could have a dictionary for the auto-translator to see how it is translated in the Companion App.

That's what I'm guessing. People will say it when they first join a party (or to welcome someone else to a party), not when it's time to act. So an English speaker might use it in the wrong context and have no idea.

I think "Let's do it!" is a translation of "よろしく お願いします！" (Yoroshiku onegaishimasu)

This is the correct translation in-game.

「よろしくお願いします」carries the connotation of “Please treat me kindly” or “I look forward to working with you”; it’s usually used in an introduction or introductory statement to another individual that you have met. Kind of odd that they chose “Let’s do it!” for the English translation, but I guess “I look forward to working with you” comes off as kind of strange to English speakers in a video game environment because it’s a bit too formal.
