How am I supposed to level in Pagos?

I could give a hoot about you caring or not caring but I felt it was pretty important to be sure to let anyone reading your response about grinding to 35 before entering Pagos got the low down on how silly that statement actually was.

Does that mean it I can't level to 35 in Amenos to skip Pagos and start on Pyros? That is of course I'm not bothering with relic but more so going after other rewards like mount etc.

I can't answer that actually relative to entry into Pyros. Being level 35 may very well allow you to enter. I believe I've seen some level 19's in Pagos so being a level 20 there may not have been an entry requirement.

Relative to relic you need at the moment 31 Frosted Crystals which are gained by filling a light bar 31 times and converting them at the Forge into Frosted Crystals needed for the different stages of your relic. You get your Kettle which allows light gathering during the level 25 quest. Once you have the kettle you will acquire light from killing NM's and by chaining and killing mobs to either spawn those NM's or by joining light parties to gather light by chaining mobs.

It's actually pretty smart to do challenge log in Anemos once a week to level given everyone is level synced to 20 and it's much easier to find a good sized party to do the challenge log. You can do the log over more than one week to level based upon how quickly you find leveling to 35 which is obviously based on the time you can spend there.

Edt: Full Relic Requirement currently in Pagos requires the following:
• 5 Louhi Ice (get two per kill of Louhi once you reach level 34)
• 500 Pagos Crystals gained from killing NM's exclusively
• 31 Frosted Crystals gained by filling a light bar 31 times and converting them at the Forge. Your Kettle can hold a maximum of 9 light crystals at a time.

You will get none of those by leveling to 35 in Eureka Anemos.

Being able to enter might be once thing, assuming you did the lv35 quest in Pagos, but you won't be able to do anything towards the Pyros phase of the relic without the Elemental weapon. Just level, do the story objectives, and find that you're going to need to go back to Pagos for light grinding and Pagos crystals if you want that weapon upgraded.

Go to Animos> level up to 26 or 28> go to PAgos and shout for the NM train. At this point you're only getting exp from the Fates when they pop. So start running around or hope someone in your group has a mount to carry more than one person around. The same agro rules apply, however the sleeping dragons and one other mob will agro to sound so you'll need to walk by them. Depending on how much exp they add to the bunny fates. It might seem like people will be spamming those for a while since they are quick to respawn and offer exp now. I just wish they had light too.

Having a friend or party member with a mount helps but even being a walker it's fairly easy to hit many of the upper level NM's if you are proactive about finding out which NM's are currently being prepped and walk to those before they spawn. Save your return to be able to try and not miss any low level NM's. Sadly NM's are pulled pretty quickly and even with a mount it's hard to get to those in time without using aether teleports to get you north quickly. You'll even hear complaints about early pulls from level 35's who were activily grinding light by chaining or prepping other NM's that those pulls were making it hard for them to get to some of the spawns.

For those who might not know the 3 aethers in Pagos aside from the one at Icepoint which you can attune to upon entry are level 21, 30 and 32.

And I would recommend getting to Pagos at no higher than level 25 to be able to start gathering LIGHT and PAGOS CRYSTALS (from NM"S)

Leveling via challenge log is perfectly valid. I don't criticize how you choose to level up; maybe you should learn to show the same respect.
