Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Synced. You can kill Level 18 - 20 monsters for your log and get full credit.
In Anemos I was able to tolerate grinding four armor sets and 5 weapons. Pagos I only got to +1 on one weapon and stopped. The problem with Pagos is no one is willing to do more than one weapon because the amount of effort demanded for it is too much. That's why no one will help you, they just want to finish their one weapon and leave. We'll have to see what they nerf in Pagos once Pyros is released.
As someone who relied pretty much solely on challenge log to get my companion chocobo from rank 10- 20 (which basically means 6-7 weeks' worth for one rank), being able to get 1.5-2 or so levels per week here by just staying in Anemos doesn't feel so bad at all tbh.
Not gonna touch Pagos at all to hit 35. Tbh I might not even bother after 35, I guess we'll see.
Specifically, you'll be treated as level 20 with regard to what counts for meeting the objectives, but you'll still get rewarded according to your actual level, meaning the exp still scales up appropriately.Do the challenge logs works in Anemos if we are at a higher lvl ?
Like for example, if i'm lvl 28. I go back to Anemos, I'll be synced at lvl20.
What level will be considered then? The synced or the unsynced one ?

You really have no clue how Pagos works do you. If someone doesn't go to Pagos at 25 and get their kettle to gather light they are wasting their time. I started a toon less then 3 days ago and she is now 34. She'll have close to 20 of the 31 frosted cyrstals needed for relic when she hits hopefully 35 tonight.
NM's in Anemos give next to no experience compared to Pagos and they certainly don't give light.
I recommend doing a full challenge log at level 20 in Anemos to get to 23, do your first 2 quests in Pagos and then camp and help with the lower level NM's till you hit 25 where you can do your 25 quest and start gathering light. At 25 try and keep up with which NM's are being prepped North and work your way to those groups and save return for the lower level NM's. It's very hard to make any NM"s North if you are on foot and staying south once they pop even if you are able to catch a ride.

Reading this thread makes it sound like I have no hope of ever doing this content. I have not started the quest and all the negative info I'm seeing here makes it not sound fun to even try to catch up.
Please don't confuse not knowing with not caring. You really have no clue how Pagos works do you. If someone doesn't go to Pagos at 25 and get their kettle to gather light they are wasting their time.
Don't care because finishing off the challenge log is still worth nearly a couple levels.NM's in Anemos give next to no experience compared to Pagos and they certainly don't give light.
NMs in Pagos also give nothing if you never make it to them because of no teleports, or getting killed and nobody bothers to raise you (which is something that almost never happened to me back in Anemos)
Barly a waste sure they can sit in pagis for 2 hours and gain like 1/2 a level and like 1 light crystal or spend that time in anemos gain 2 and a 1/2 levels
Light is easy to grind out earlier you get to 30-35 the better
