OSX | Launcher Exception Raised -- Unhandled page fault ...

    Hello!

I tried logging in today, and the launcher is no longer loading for me.

A dialogue box is now popping up saying:

    Exception raised
Unhandled page fault on read access to 0xe2e81a60 at address 0xa7bf4220

I've restarted several times, purged my ram, uninstalled / reinstalled the game, and I keep getting the same error. Everything worked fine last night.

If it's helpful at all, I've submitted several crash reports.

    Computer Info:
    OSX version 10.14.1
    Macbook pro, 2016 model
    Processor 2.6 ghz i7
    Memory 16gb
    Graphics: Radeon Pro 450

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When this started occurring, did anything change/update on your Mac recently that coincides with this?

When you reinstalled the game, did you delete the locally saved content (located in the /Library/Application Support/FINAL FANTASY XIV/ folder)? Does this error still occur after that folder is deleted?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Hey there, thanks for the reply!

I didn't change/update anything -- I logged out the other night and went to log in the next morning and ran into this issue.

When I reinstalled, I simply dragged FFXIV from my applications folder into the trash. I looked for the locally saved folder that you referenced, but it doesn't exist in that path (I checked hidden files just in case, but it's still not there). Would it possibly be anywhere else? Doing a search for 'final fantasy xiv' only shows one folder, and that's empty in my photos folder.

Thank you for keeping us updated on the issue,

Drown have you tried locating the /Library/Application Support/FINAL FANTASY XIV/ with the app
    cleaner?

    Hope to see you online!

    Ah, you're a genius, Dynratygus!

There must have been some hidden bits and bobs that AppCleaner was able to nab for me. The reinstall worked and I was able to log in again.

    Thanks, y'all!
