After taking a short sojourn back to WoW for the new expansion and seeing how bad things could be, I actually have a difficult time really complaining about the FFXIV dev team. My one major complaint is one that I have had since HW and others in this thread have mentioned as well, I wish the team would step out of their comfort zone.

I feel like I have been playing the exact same content since late 2014 just with a new coat of paint. It has come to the point where I can predict the general flow of a savage fight, the exact number of trash packs in a dungeon and how many between each boss, and even the map layout of the dungeons to some extent. Even the flow of .0 patch of expansions is incredibly predictable at this point, which is a major flaw in my eyes. I still have fun with it, but it is all just kind of samey at this point.

Even when they do step out of their comfort zone, they tend to just keep using those ideas, with Eureka just being Diadem 2.0 or 3.0 depending on how you look at it. There is nothing wrong with that, but I sure hope 5.0 has either Diadem 4.0 and something totally new, or they just scrape the Diadem model completely to add something new.
