    FF XIV is really the only MMO currently standing that kinda sorta maybe rivals WoW, but doesn't have anywhere near the numbers WoW does. It is extremely profitable especially with how much they add to the Mogstation on a weekly/monthly basis. There is no excuse for not investing. None.

    As to this bit on FF XI...if their goal was to give people some FF XI nostalgia in the form of Eureka, they failed. Miserably. I would know, I was there. That game is still going, though it's basically in maintenance mode at this point. But it still requires a sub with maybe a couple hundred thousand players. FF XIV has at least double or triple that number. If they kept FF XI updated and added many QoL changes with half the subs FF XIV has for years, then there is no excuse for not doing the same with FF XIV. Seriously.
