    I'm guessing the reasoning is there will be more LSs, and there are bound to be duplicates.

    However, since I can assume Selbina is around the "target" size, I can say that there are very few linkshells that actually choose the same crest. I have a couple of shells sitting around just to save the name, and even they have symbols that I don't see around town. /shrug I mean, sure--a few 3-10 person shells might have the same one as the 30-100s, but most people manage to create original ones.

    They may be boring, but there are 58(such an odd number...) patterns with ten colour combinations, for a combined total of 580 different options. It's not that we need "more," we just need "better." D= (Couldn't there just be 60? lol. o.0)

    I understand that, however, linkshells on Selbina do not have a server to merge with. Thus creating no problem. When people created linkshells on Selbina, most likely they already knew which crest was taken and which was not.

    Imagine merging with another server and there is another LS with same crest as yours and both have had that crest from launch.

    Not sure if more LS Crest option would fix this problem because in that situation both leaders would want to keep their original crest, but more options might entice one to change.

    I see what you're saying, and I agree. I wasn't trying to say that we didn't need more. ^^; I said that we needed better crests moreso than more crests, but I think those two could probably go hand-in-hand. I still say that 580 is a decent quantity, but the variations are just so... bland. ^^;

    A lot of people would change even if they just added more colors (even just a third row). More patterns would be nice also, and I seriously doubt the patterns take more than 60 seconds to design for a company that spends a lot of time making elaborate 3D models, textures, and detailed artwork. The question becomes, is this something we'll blame on "system limitations" or is it something they can just add in easily? If it takes a substantial amount of time, I suspect this idea will be (if it's not already) thrown into the "It's coming with 2.0!" bucket...

    Where did I put that meme, I may need it soon...
