google chrome is warning me all the time the forums are not safe.

as the tittle says, since the DDOS attacks started im seeing this kind of warning on google chrome, if my data are in danger by login in the forum i belive devs should know it.

It's because the forums don't use secured communications to send/receive info. Most sites use encrypted protocols to transfer traffic now. This is to better thwart "man in the middle" attacks that seek to maliciously intercept traffic to harvest passwords, credit card info, and other sensitive data. The DDoS attacks have nothing to do with the browser warning.

Chrome automatically tells the user whether or not the site is considered secure, and while most major sites updated before Chrome and other browsers made this type of notification highly visible by default, obviously some others have not yet gotten with the program...

I agree with the OP, never had the issue before these regular DDoS attacks started. So either it is related to that (regardless of the above post) or SE haven't updated their security.

It's most likely coincidental. The DDoS attack is targeting the ISPs SE uses to connect their game's shards (datacentres) to the world at large by flooding them with junk connection requests that are indistinguishable from legitimate ones. It's just that the version of http that the forums use is insecure... the Lodestone and other pages use https and thus don't show the "Not secure" warning (which you can test if/when you can reach them).

It's good to know, but I been around pretty much since ARR and I start to see that notifitaction this days and I was worried about it since no one report it (or I don't see it), related or not to DDos attacks SE should re-check they web security protocols too, it make me pretty uncomfortable every time I written something that appears.

Chrome is just trying to protect you from the headache this forum can cause.
