A fatal directx error has occurred(100000000)

This is getting very frustrating. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and the drivers for the video card. I was able to run the game under dx11 until I upgraded my computer to windows 10. I was running windows 7 before. I have tried running the game in compatibility mode for windows 7 and 8, and dxdiag does not show any problems with the directx installation.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I do apologize, I glazed over the first topic stickied in regards to GPU issues.

GPU performance change before and after you started having the issue:

GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Driver Version: Don't recall what version I had before, but I have 416.34 now
CPU: Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz, 3101 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
RAM: 8 GB
Hard Drive: Toshiba TR-150 SSD
OS: Windows 7 before, Windows 10 now.
OS Version: 10.0.17134 Build 17134
Graphics Settings: Not sure, I get this error as soon as I'm done with the client.
FPS Limit: Not sure, but I'm fairly certain I didn't put a limit on it.

EDIT 2: FFXIV is the only game with this problem. All my other games work.
