ARR Mark Bills

the origin of the mark bill system is a interesting one.

in ARR we got 2 types of bills the standard bill and the elite bill. if you know the more recent ones then you will know how the elite bill works. hunt down a B rank and claim your prize. however i find it interesting that ARR standard hunt bills work differently. they have you target 3 normal mob types then 2 fates.

why do you think that was changed? and was it for the better or worse?

It was absolutely for the better. Looking for the fates is godawful. It takes forever to wait for them to spawn and so easy to miss it. Meanwhile normal adds take a minute or two at most.

Exactly, some of the NM FATEs take absolutely forever to spawn (like, 3+ hours at least) - Giant Seps is probably the most notorious of that bunch. So the HW and SB Hunts only requiring regular enemies was definetely for the better.

I just switched GCs the other day as I wanted the Gridania allied seals outfit. The fates are absolutely horrible. I waited 2+ hours on Ose the other day.

I really wish they would update that system (remove the fates), or just let you buy the items with centurio seals instead.

my feelings are the same. glad HW and SB don't include fates.

The fates demanded were specific, it would've been more tolerable and queue-friendly to do "Do any one fate in x zone" if we had to do them. But from HW+ we don't have to, so no complaints there.

They were changed because no one wants to sit around with a thumb up their bum waiting for FATEs with the correct mobs to spawn.
