Thing is. They do this every time. They withhold information because they don't want to release faulty information. And every single time people start saying that this is an ominous sign of something.Patch 1.21 I feel is the culmination of the player poll we took a year ago.
We haven't been waiting for this patch since 1.20 which was released in december. We have been patiently waiting since January of 2011. Seeing the Lodestone go another day with out info just works against the excitement we harbor for this game.
I don't care if the patch gets delayed for another two weeks. I want them to come out and say it, but also leave something for us to talk about, to whet the appetite of what is supposed to be the largest patch XIV has seen to date.
Examples of what they can tease us with yet, spread it out til the patch is ready day by day:
AF armor: good for 7 daily updates
Dungeons: good for 2 updates
Job stats and abilities: good for 7 updates
recipe revamp lists: good for 3 days (cooking goldsmithing alchemy)
Thats at least 19 days worth of updates they can put up on the lodestone. If they update once a day 5 days a week thats 3 weeks they can lead us by the nose.
Yet they give us nothing.

They can't release a youtube video?
You'd have to have your head in the sand to genuinely believe that there is nothing they couldn't show.
Everything they do release says "Subject to change" anyway, so its hardly a valid excuse.

Yeah! I think it is better if they release stuff (videos, pics etc) with *subject to change warning instead of nothing at all. At least it would keep peoples interest instead of leaving everyone hanging.
I said this here and it broke out into a billion page argument with some of the most ridiculous justification for this crap ever seen by mankind.
Doesn't stop the playerbase from acting like a bunch of entitled...how to put it nicely...jerks when the Developers ever show anything. At all...about anything.
Not saying that's everyone but it's a large enough number to deter anyone from being forthcoming with information.
How about the "this happens every time" bit?
