Because it's a 10 year old game which is mostly only getting zone/job/quest tweaks and monster reskins?

Uh...it was widely believed for a long time that Hamlet defense would only be for Battle and Magic classes...Yoshida made a point in case because it was still widely believed to be the case and I quote from him:

" But, it’s going to be fresh new content that can allow all classes to play an integral role (not just combat classes!),"

I'd like to see some thread postings...if you wanna go all dramatic about what was officially ever said.

And Rukkirii announced this as firm news only on the 16th of this month.

And I QUOTE: "Hamlet defense update.
We received news about the anticipated hamlet defense!

The development team is currently working on the hamlet defense which is slated to be released in patch 1.22. They are creating the content to allow every class, including crafters and gatherers, to be able to participate.

We will be introducing the specifics post-patch 1.21, so please look forward to it!"

So everyone BSing about my comment should really READ the facts. Since if you look anywhere on dev notes or postings there hasn't been any concrete to this matter until that postin.

The dev team went very silent on what was actually going to happen once Yoshida took the helm...and they never confirmed how hamlet defense would take shape...to this day and as noted in some patch notes in 1.21 we still don't know much if anything about hamlet defense.

Nothing in the facts say they had to redo the whole hamlet defense system because of DoL & DoH and that's what has caused the delay.

Content for classes of all disciplines has already been mentioned back in October 2011 in: http://wdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/dow...Content_EN.pdf if not earlier, but I'm not going to look any further.
