Quite interesting to think that even while this version of the game is being patched etc an entirely new version of it is being worked on in the backgrounds (in terms of underlying coding and such)

    The Bard image gives me a feeling of when you attempt to shoot the Stinger at Metal Gear in Metal Gear Solid and Snake wont do it because it has a hold of Grey Fox haha.

I assume that Yoshida is saying that the way in which spells cancel when moving in 1.21 feels almost (but not exactly) the same as it will after 2.0 hits.

    Having said that, since he only referred to "magic casting", it's very possible that other elements of the system will change as well.

    I was right! In the beginning of this thread I said ONE MONTH DELAY..and look at that =P Didn't want to be right though ._. Does this effect the April patch!?

    No patch affects each other because they're worked on in parallel, not after one is completed. The only time something delayed all patches was due to a natural disaster.

    They won't say it does, but the patch is bound to get delayed regardless.

    It has to. Consider that in Mar we will have Patch 1.21 and any lettered follow ups. At the same time we will be in the middle of a World Merge. Some posters have said that there are multiple teams working on the various upcoming patches. SEs resourses are finite. In all likelyhood what you have is an advance team working on the preliminaries for 1.22 while the main team finishes up 1.21. Once that is done then they move to the next patch and the preliminary team moves on to the patch beyond that. This cannot help but to delay the entire process beyond the original dates posted. Hamlet Defense was pushed back because of the complexities. Patches 1.22 1nd 1.23 do not appear to be as involved as the past patches so hopefully they can make up some time there but I do not believe they can get totally back on schedule. That's fine....get it right the first time.
