How to get to Hemlock in Coerthas Western Highlands?

Edit: MSQ got me there found all the currents

So I'm trying to get to Hemlock in Coerthas Western Highlands because there's an aether current there. All sides are blocked but there is a gate to the south which I marked the location of in a red circle on the map image below. However, the gate doesn't open. Will the msq unlock this area or is it a side quest i have to do?

MSQ (or maybe it was a side quest? Pretty sure MSQ) takes you there.

I'm pretty sure I got all the aether currents without having to get past that gate. They're always in places you can access without flying.

I also remember I could already fly there at a point when a quest sent me there, and backtracking to see what a blue marker on the map was for - which turned out to be the guard posted to let you through the gate if you couldn't fly yet.

Try approaching it from the north, maybe?

Maybe an early sidequest then. I'm pretty sure my alt recently got the flight unlocked as soon as I completed Lv51 MSQ there. Have a look around Falcon's Nest for a quest involving stolen goods and/or chasing down the heretics that stole them? That might be it.

Ah must of been a sightseeing log then. I do remember something being there.

I also recall never having to touch Hemlock to unlock flying across my several characters, and checking a few aether current maps, there doesn't seem to have ever been one up in Hemlock; Though the B rank kreuzet can spawn up there.

that's weird when i stand to the left of the exact center of hemlock it tells me to go east about 150 yalms but i guess i'll check the spots on your map

EDIT: Look at the first comment on the video the locations are no longer accurate

Unless they changed them a second time, this map should be accurate, as their video is from 2015 before the positions were changed in 3.3.
