It's not just you though. Others can't either (me included), and we have called, checked the criteria, and made sure all green lights are a go. It's something with the website right now 100%. I hope they actually fix it soon.
Then they shouldn’t be posting that they are glad the service is back online. Because it isn’t. Tired of the lies.

It seems you have contacted the Square Enix Support Center directly and have had your case escalated. Unfortunately, I cannot give updates to that escalation via this support channel. Please wait for a response directly from the Square Enix Support Center.

If you are still experiencing issues, I'd recommend resetting your router and changing your web browser as the maintenance message would suggest a communication error with the server.
