can we please fix the dragon's sweep telegraph in The Burn?

Like seriously. I've had several times now where the aoe never shows up until it sweeps bye and I get frozen but when it targets another player its up for a good 30s. Its really bad if a player (especially a healer or tank) gets hit because they never even saw the aoe telegraph.

Pop sprint and run the arc of the arena until you see it. You don't wait and pray it's not aimed at you.

Member that bird boss from Neverreap that fogs the arena? Similar to that.

It doesn't need to be fixed, you're just completely misunderstanding the mechanic.

It's like the first boss in Neverreap, after he disappears, having you run around to find him. When the Mist Dragon jumps away, you start running around the circle to find the dragon. Once you find it, the AoE will show up right away. Communication also helps with this (though that's kinda rare in expert pugs).

Also the freeze breaks with a single hit, so anyone with a ranged attack can easily remove it.

This mechanic baffled me for about 8 runs until it finally clicked for me. I run around ina circle about 1/3 of the arena away from the edge, I usually see the strike zone in time but if I don't I'm ready to quickly pivot away from it.

You really only have to run to opposite sides of the arena. If neither pair sees the dragon, then the dragon is clearly not diving through party. It's not necessary to search the entire perimeter.

Even without any communication, all you have to do is pick someone and run to the opposite side of the arena as they do. If they run around the edge, mirror them until they stop or you find the dragon.

There is plenty of time to dodge it if you hit sprint and just move around the arena. It actually has a decent timer on it, you just cant see it unless you are in the right spot. Just basically stay toward the middle and move around. It never fails me and I always have tons of time to dodge and break out the other pt members who are just standing there not moving.

This is not a hard mechanic and it doesn't need to be fixed. Ppl just need to take a moment to learn one of the easiest dodges that boss has instead of screaming for nerfs on an already simple mechanic right away....

My group didn't even need sprint. We just kept moving. Far more successful if we were together versus when we weren't. I found this phase the easiest of them.

It's an easier mechanic than it looks at first glance. Ideally you should have all 4 players make a square around the arena then run around the edge till one person finds the dragon, when they stop, everyone should move out of the area in front of where they stopped to avoid the line aoe. This of course can be hard to co-ordinate on the fly in duty finder but there's plenty of time to do it with just 2 people and I'd expect at least one person to run to the opposite side from you.

Just keep moving and spread out. As long as at least one person isn't frozen, you're fine.
