Can this game engine handle scarfs? That would be a neat detail to add to the game.
Oh and arm and leg tattoos please. I really was a fan of the designs of Till the End of Time.

I’d like to see more options added to the existing races in character creator:
—Unlock the race-exclusive hairstyles (hairstyles don’t make a race)
—Add more faces
—Add more options for faces (e.g., add the option to remove clan markings from Miqo’te the same way one can remove some of the scales on some of the Au Ra faces)
—Add more options for tattoos (body tattoos, not just face tattoos)
—Allow us to have more options for face paints (why can I only apply eyeliner/eye shadow or only blush?)
—HD textures for our character models
—Revamp the hands and feet: my character’s fingers are like sausages and she doesn’t have actual toes, just darker pixels painted onto her feet to make it look like she has toes
—Get rid of the perma-sandals
That’s just a few things I would like.

I personally would like for them to expand on the emote examples when you choose a voice set, like at the very least showing a few more emotes to test the voices with. Also testing for battle grunts/voices would be very much appreciated.
Yes, please. Need more than a single new hairstyle added every few months.
I put a like on your message OP but we ask that since now....what?...4 years? .... and each time it's always the same excuse/answer "sorry, memory/data server trouble blablabla"
Anyway ya we need so much more options and real choices, and none option should be locked by a specific face.
I just want a "Reverse" option for hairs. Can it really be that hard to flip hair models on the y-axis?
Horns separate from face selection for Aura is all I want for Christmas.
That's why this is called work, and that's why we are constantly paying them.
Yoshi-p said this after being asked about a F2P model : "Currently we are earning an unimaginably large amount of money across the global here, so we must continue providing our services." (Source)
Delivering nothing but hair about character creation is unacceptable knowing their current capabilities.

Sometimes greatness requires sacrifice. The hamsters would all die for a good cause...may their souls rest in peace. Or pieces, depending on how horribly they do die. But let's ignore those details and focus on what's important.
I'd agree with this. It's worth pointing out that the FFXIV team is around 350-500 members depending on how busy the period of time, not including management (Source). That's a huge number of resources, particularly considering that FFXIV is a very established entity with presumably-optimal workflows. That's why this is called work, and that's why we are constantly paying them.

Given this, and given the relatively mundane content cycle updates that we've been 'treated' to for years now, it's reasonable to expect that there's enough bandwidth to be seriously working on the game's infrastructure in order to ensure it properly supports XIV's growth into the future. In fact, it's certain they're already doing this: we've seen evidence at various points of increased capabilities (expanded Housing wards, the Glamour Dresser, inventory size expansions, DX11 graphical tweaks). The main concern in my mind is whether they're making the right decisions on what to prioritize or not. We've seen some pretty blatant whiffs from the development team when it comes to acknowledging or addressing player concerns, with Eureka being the most serious recent example. We've also seen infrastructure improvements be routed toward additional revenue streams, particularly the mobile app (extra Retainer capacity, Chocobo Saddlebag capacity, Retainer interface improvements).
We'll see where things end up. Thus far, I don't know that SE has really felt significant pressure to shake up their delivery model or really put in AAA levels of work; XIV has thrived off a rather enjoyable trip to level cap, shrugging off longer-term monotony-induced subscription losses. But the game is profitable enough that they can do more if they wanted to, and from a quality-of-game standpoint, from a customer service standpoint, they should do more.
