I was a raider once, and had the zeta weapon which was the equivalent Ilvl of the highest ilvl raid weapon. It did not take away anything except help me beat it.

The suggestion was to have the Eurekan Weapons have the same Ilvl as the Raid weapons, but the requirements to attain it will be so insane, that the raid weapon is actually easier to obtain.

They can then later ease the requirements in later patches.

When Pagos was released, I was only able to get 1 Pagos weapon completed before the new patch showed up with ilvl380 weapons. Making it pointless to even go to Pagos lol. That Pagos weapon I made, was only used for 2 weeks. It's not even a good glamour item.

This is a recipe for disaster. What do you mean by "insane requirement"? Several dozens of hours for just one weapon? Or you have some skill-based method in mind? Either way, both methods would probably result in a failure. Players are not too fond of long grind as pagos showed. Also, the average ffxiv player is very unskilled.

The zeta weapon was released at the end of ARR if I remember correctly, way after the final coil.
