It's alright. Eureka will be released in 2 months right before 4.5, and the weapon will be ilvl 385 so that it is super useful just like all the other relics this expansion.
(The reason I say 385 is because the Anemos weapon was 355, same as the Byakko weapon which was current at the time.)

Honestly, it doesn't even matter. Gear progression is a hamster wheel. You grind gear to get better gear to be able to grind better to get better gear and on and on and on it goes. Just give me something glowy that looks awesome and let the raiders keep the ilvl advantage so they can grind gear to get better gear to grind with. I've given up on the hamster wheel. It's pointless.

Well you have a point here ^^Honestly, it doesn't even matter.
But the relic weapon failed even in that regard. All that grind in Pagos, and then the weapon doesn't even glow...
Problem is with how things are going now is that the relic is obsolete because of tomestone gear. And isn't 24 man raid gear dead on arrival anyway because of the same reason?

That's how it should be, honestly. You have a limited amount of tomestones and you need more than 2 weeks worth of tomestones to buy a weapon...and several weeks for crystalloids. Conversely, one can in theory obtain several eureka weapons in a single week. They can't be as strong as or stronger than the new tomestone weapons simply because of the 450 tomestones/week limit. 24 man raid gear is a valid alternative for alt classes for casuals players, but if those casuals players can obtain raid-level gear in a couple of weeks, all the gear that comes later will be ignored. Also, don't forget that a ilvl relic released at the same time of the new savage tier would also kill the last primals (both suzaku and the next one, that will probably reward ilvl 395 weapons).
Anyway, I really don't get why some people want a strong eureka weapon. The relic weapon always was about glamour and served as a "testament" to the player's devotion towards a/some specific job(s). It should always be slightly but strictly less powerful than the savage weapon to make sure that the speedrunning scene is not disrupted and to properly reward those statics that need several weeks (if not months) to clear the last turn of savage (plus 8 more weeks so that all party members get their weapon/chest piece).
I do agree though that anemos and pagos timing was not ideal. Especially pagos, it was released too late and it just took too long to obtain a ilvl370, so we ended up with most people still working on their relic when the new crafted gear is available.

Let's face it: Gerolt's lost his touch

Sigh...
No. They just need to lock the weapon behind better content.
Because that would make current alphascape gear totally obsolete (people need 4 weeks for the chest) and the next 24-man raid gear DOA.

with relics i would rather a dyable version that doesn't glow and one that does glow SB af weapons are stuck unable to be dyed unless its glowing
the pagos relics will glow in Pyros already confirmed
I don't think raiders need even less of an incentive to raid; I got a taste of how the loot system worked with Deltascape and it already felt pretty underwhelming.
